Building a sustainable future, together.

At WSP, we design the future of our communities. As one of the world’s leading engineering and professional services firms, we bring together expertise across transport and infrastructure, buildings, energy, environment, water and advisory. Across Central Europe, we combine local knowledge with international reach to deliver projects that create a positive, lasting impact for clients, communities and the environment.

Due to continued growth across our Engineering Services team in Italy, we are looking for an Electrical Engineer to support the design and delivery of electrical systems for industrial and infrastructure-related projects, with a strong focus on low and medium voltage systems.

The opportunity

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with approximately five years of experience to join our Engineering Services team in Italy. In this role, you will contribute to the design of electrical systems for industrial environments, Data Center and Data Center electrical topography/architecture, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant solutions across low and medium voltage applications.

You will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, project managers, contractors and vendors, contributing to technical deliverables from design development through to project execution, testing and commissioning support.

How you will make an impact

Your work will help strengthen the quality, reliability and technical accuracy of our electrical engineering solutions for clients operating in industrial and complex built environments.

· Electrical design: Develop and review electrical design solutions for low and medium voltage systems in industrial facilities.

· Technical deliverables: Prepare and review single line diagrams, cable schedules, load lists, electrical schematics, electrical calculations, technical specifications and engineering reports.

· Multidisciplinary coordination: Collaborate with civil, mechanical, automation, instrumentation and project teams to ensure integrated and practical engineering solutions.

· Automation and instrumentation interface: Support the integration of basic automation systems, including PLC, SCADA or DCS interfaces, and contribute to instrumentation-related activities where required.

· Project execution support: Coordinate with contractors and vendors and support installation, testing and commissioning activities during project delivery.

The team around you

You will be part of WSP Italia’s Engineering Services team, working across industrial and multidisciplinary projects where electrical design quality, safety and coordination are central to successful delivery.

The culture: collaborative, practical and technically focused, with space to contribute ideas and learn from experienced colleagues. The projects: industrial facilities, energy-related infrastructure, electrical distribution systems and multidisciplinary engineering assignments. The opportunity: a chance to grow your technical depth in low and medium voltage design while working on meaningful projects with local and international exposure.

What you will bring to the role

We focus on the essential qualifications, skills and experience needed for success, while welcoming different technical backgrounds and career paths.

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering or a related technical discipline.

· Approximately 5 years of experience in electrical design, ideally within industrial, infrastructure, Data Center, or complex engineering environments.

· Solid knowledge of low and medium voltage systems, power distribution, switchgear, substations and applicable IEC standards.

· Experience preparing or reviewing key electrical deliverables such as single line diagrams, cable schedules, load lists, calculations, schematics and technical specifications.

· Knowledge of design tools such as AutoCAD, ETAP, DigSilent, EPLAN or equivalent software. Experience with automation systems such as PLC, SCADA or DCS would be an advantage.

· Good communication skills in Italian and English, with a collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, contractors and vendors.

Your growth with us

We are looking for someone with strong technical judgement who wants to keep developing through complex, meaningful projects. You will contribute your expertise, share knowledge with colleagues and strengthen the quality of our work across multidisciplinary teams.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
