As our Nature Services Sector Lead – Infrastructure, you'll play a critical role in growing and positioning our Nature Services offering across some of the UK's most significant infrastructure programmes, helping clients balance development needs with positive environmental outcomes.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded professional who understands the infrastructure sector and can bring together multidisciplinary expertise to create innovative, nature-led solutions for clients.

The Role

Working across these sectors, you'll help ensure WSP's Nature Services teams are positioned early in project lifecycles, supporting clients with integrated environmental and sustainability solutions.

  • Shape winning propositions that address ecological risk, programme delivery challenges and commercial objectives.

Growing the Opportunity Pipeline

  • Identify upcoming frameworks, capital investment programmes, maintenance contracts and construction packages.
  • Track market developments and position WSP's Nature Services teams at the earliest stages of project planning.
  • Maintain visibility of sector opportunities and drive long-term growth.

  • Work collaboratively across ecology, aquatic ecology, marine, biodiversity, arboriculture and natural capital teams.
  • Integrate Nature Services into wider transport, engineering and construction offerings.
  • Coordinate cross-sector opportunities and multidisciplinary solutions for major clients.

Providing Market Intelligence

  • Monitor investment priorities, procurement activity, competitor movements and regulatory changes.
  • Share insights and recommendations with business leaders and technical teams.
  • Help shape WSP's strategic positioning within the infrastructure sector.

Skills and Experience We're Interested In

You'll likely bring a combination of:

  • An understanding of infrastructure procurement, project delivery and investment programmes.
  • Experience working with asset owners, operators, contractors or delivery partners.
  • Business development, client engagement and stakeholder management experience.
  • Experience leading bids, pursuits or growth initiatives within infrastructure, environmental consultancy or related sectors.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to identify and prioritise strategic opportunities.
  • The confidence to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and develop integrated client solutions.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage a range of stakeholders.

If you don't meet every requirement but believe your experience and skills make you a strong fit for the role, we'd still encourage you to apply.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
