Position Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic Research Technicians who are interested in careers in the biomedical sciences.
The Lin Lab studies the molecular regulation of endothelial cells in pulmonary vasculopathies. Specifically, we examine how aberrant cellular crosstalk between mesenchymal and pulmonary vascular endothelial cells contributes to pulmonary vascular remodeling. Our research portfolio also includes investigations into the mechanisms of cell-cell communication in sarcoidosis, pulmonary arterial hypertension, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and chronic obstructive lung disease. The mission of our research is to uncover novel insights into the initiation and propagation of vascular diseases with the overarching goal of identifying new therapeutic targets for treatment of pulmonary vasculopathies.
Assists with laboratory duties in a research setting; performs routine tests with direction from the supervisor, manager or higher-level technician.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assists the investigator or higher-level technician with research studies, experiments and assays, including collection of data, preparation of solutions and setup and maintenance of equipment.
- Assists with immunohistochemistry.
- Assists with tissue cultures of primary endothelial and fibroblast cell lines.
- Maintains files on research and assists with data entry.
- Assists with general lab maintenance and cleaning.
- Complies with established safety procedures and maintains required documentation on laboratory and specimen conditions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary Range
$16.54 - $22.35 / Hourly
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
