Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Consumer Telecom Field Technicians to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and service restoration of residential telecommunications services across the UAE.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Fiber to the Home (FTTH), GPON networks, fiber optic connections, ONT devices, routers, and customer premises equipment (CPE), with strong technical troubleshooting and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot residential telecom services, including FTTH internet connections.
  • Handle fiber optic connections, GPON networks, ONT devices, Wi-Fi routers, and related customer premises equipment.
  • Visit residential customer premises for new installations, maintenance, technical fault diagnosis, and service restoration.
  • Perform connectivity testing, troubleshoot internet and Wi-Fi issues, and ensure successful service activation.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues related to fiber connectivity, ONT configuration, routers, and network performance.
  • Coordinate with technical support and operations teams to resolve complex service-related issues.
  • Provide professional customer support and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Update work orders, job status, service completion details, and technical reports accurately in the assigned system.
  • Complete assigned installations, maintenance activities, and service requests within operational timelines and service-level requirements.
  • Ensure proper handling, availability, and maintenance of tools, testing equipment, and technical materials.
  • Maintain assigned vehicle cleanliness, proper uniform, and professional grooming standards.
  • Follow company safety guidelines, operational procedures, quality standards, and customer service requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 1–3 years of relevant telecom field experience, preferably in consumer or residential telecommunications services.
  • High School Certificate or Diploma in Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in FTTH installations, GPON networks, fiber optics, ONT devices, and Wi-Fi router configuration.
  • Experience in residential customer installations, troubleshooting, maintenance, and service restoration.
  • Basic understanding of fiber optic connectivity, internet service activation, and network troubleshooting.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve internet connectivity, Wi-Fi performance, and equipment-related issues.
  • Good communication, problem-solving, and customer-handling skills.
  • Ability to work independently and travel to customer locations across assigned operational areas.
  • Familiarity with field service management systems, work order updates, and technical reporting is an advantage.
  • Valid UAE Driving License – Preferred / Required depending on project requirements.

Ideal Candidate

A technically competent, field-oriented telecom professional with practical experience in residential FTTH installations, GPON connectivity, ONT and router configuration, troubleshooting, service restoration, and customer support.

Candidates with previous experience supporting UAE telecom operators or their field service partners will have an advantage.
