Assistant Registrar
The Office of the Registrar is seeking an Assistant Registrar. The Assistant Registrars provide assistance to the University Registrar and to academic areas of the University related to the updating, maintenance and reporting of student records and related processes and systems.
Core competencies of an Assistant Registrar include holistic and system thinking, strong interpersonal abilities, technological knowledge, professional integrity, and general knowledge of law, policy, and governance in higher education and at Xavier University.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and maintain academic records of the university including transcripts, course registration, grade changes, degree conferrals, leave of absence, and schedule of classes
- Provide supervision and leadership for transcript and records area within the Office of the Registrar
- Serve as a liaison between the Office of the Registrar and related offices such as Deans, Department Chairs, Academic Advising, and other university department directors
- Assist University Registrar and Associate Registrar as needed with primary office deliverables
- Manage and maintain record systems, as well as assist in the development of new systems/programs and enhancements
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, and staff in support of the services of the Office of the Registrar
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor’s degree
- Three years prior administrative experience
- One to three years’ experience working in higher education and using Banner, Workday, or other equivalent student information system is preferred.
