WHO ARE WE?

XNRGY Climate Systems is a North American leader in the sustainable design and advanced manufacturing of custom air-treatment, thermal-management, and liquid-cooling systems. With decades of HVAC engineering and manufacturing expertise, XNRGY delivers innovative, energy-efficient solutions for mission-critical industries, including hyperscale and modular data centers, healthcare, clean rooms, life sciences, semiconductors, and advanced manufacturing.

Our United States technology headquarters and manufacturing facility opened in Mesa, Arizona, in 2025. As XNRGY continues expanding its manufacturing operations, we are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Excellence Engineer to lead the development, implementation, and standardization of Lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives across our operations.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, this position will serve as a key technical and functional leader in optimizing manufacturing processes, establishing best practices, and driving sustainable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost. Working closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Quality, Materials, and other cross-functional teams, you will play a critical role in strengthening our manufacturing systems and supporting continued operational growth.

This role requires the ability to influence across departments, provide technical direction, and drive accountability for process improvements without direct supervisory responsibility.

AN OVERVIEW OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Lean manufacturing processes, standards, and best practices across manufacturing operations.

- Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.

- Establish and drive continuous improvement priorities in collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering and Operations leadership, ensuring alignment with operational objectives.

- Lead cross-functional improvement initiatives utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other structured problem-solving methodologies to reduce waste and improve manufacturing performance.

- Identify systemic bottlenecks and recurring production challenges, leading root cause analysis and the development of sustainable corrective actions.

- Provide technical and functional leadership to cross-functional teams, guiding the implementation and adoption of process improvements.

- Develop, implement, and standardize manufacturing processes, standard work instructions, operating procedures (SOPs), and visual management practices.

- Establish and improve daily management practices, performance metrics, and accountability processes to support operational excellence.

- Evaluate and implement Kanban systems, material flow improvements, and pull systems to optimize production efficiency.

- Partner with Manufacturing Engineering and Operations to incorporate Lean principles into production layouts, equipment integration, process development, and manufacturing expansion initiatives.

- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process effectiveness, improvement opportunities, and the sustainability of implemented solutions.

- Facilitate continuous improvement workshops, Kaizen events, and structured problem-solving activities involving cross-functional stakeholders.

- Coach and support engineers, supervisors, and production teams in Lean methodologies, problem-solving techniques, and continuous improvement practices.

- Provide technical expertise and recommendations to manufacturing leadership regarding process optimization, operational performance, and improvement priorities.

- Ensure manufacturing processes and improvement initiatives are developed with a safety-first mindset, supporting a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

- Lead and coordinate continuous improvement initiatives across cross-functional teams and multi-site operations to promote standardization, knowledge sharing, and best practices.

- Drive the adoption and long-term sustainability of process improvements through effective change management, documentation, training, and follow-up.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED, AMONG OTHER THINGS!

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, Lean manufacturing, operational excellence, or continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.

- Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives with measurable improvements in operational performance.

- Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, Kaizen, value stream mapping, 5S, standard work, Kanban, and structured root cause analysis.

- Experience developing and implementing manufacturing standards, continuous improvement systems, and sustainable process improvements.

- Proven ability to provide technical and functional leadership, influence stakeholders, and drive change across departments without direct supervisory authority.

- Experience coaching engineers, supervisors, and production teams in continuous improvement methodologies and structured problem-solving practices.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret operational data, identify improvement opportunities, and make data-driven decisions.

- Experience developing and monitoring manufacturing performance metrics, KPIs, and continuous improvement results.

- Proficiency in ERP/MES systems (i.e. Epicor, Oracle, SAP, etc.).

- Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or other relevant process improvement frameworks preferred.

- Strong communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

- Ability to manage multiple complex initiatives, establish priorities, and adapt to changing operational needs.

- Knowledge of CAD and other design and simulation software.

- Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC), process capability analysis, and other quality assurance tools.

- Experience supporting manufacturing expansion, new production lines, or process standardization across multiple operations preferred.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
