The posting

The Software Test Engineer will provide dedicated internal ownership of software quality, validation, and release readiness for XVIVO Digital Services products. This role supports the organization’s investment in an internal product team by establishing repeatable testing practices, preserving product knowledge, and ensuring that software created through traditional, AI-assisted, and no-code development approaches meets functional, security, regulatory, and user expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, maintain, and execute manual and automated test plans for web applications, APIs, integrations, and related digital services.
  • Own regression testing, release validation, defect verification, and production readiness reviews for scheduled and urgent releases.
  • Develop and maintain scalable automated test suites that improve coverage and reduce reliance on external manual testing.
  • Document defects clearly, including reproduction steps, expected results, actual results, severity, and supporting evidence.
  • Collaborate with software developers, product owners, firmware teams, regulatory stakeholders, and quality teams to validate requirements and confirm that changes are ready for release.
  • Review user stories, acceptance criteria, product requirements, and technical designs to identify quality risks early in the development lifecycle.
  • Support testing and documentation for software updates that interface with medical device workflows or regulated product environments.
  • Help evaluate AI-assisted and no-code development outputs by confirming that generated functionality meets business, security, compliance, and usability requirements.
  • Maintain test documentation, validation evidence, and release records to support internal quality processes and audit readiness.
  • Recommend improvements to testing tools, quality processes, automation frameworks, and release management practices.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in software quality assurance, software testing, validation engineering, or a related technical role.
  • Working knowledge of test case design, regression testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, and defect tracking.
  • Experience with test automation tools or frameworks and a willingness to expand automated test coverage over time.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders regarding test results, release risks, and defect status.
  • Familiarity with Agile development practices and modern software development lifecycles.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical problem-solving ability, and a quality-focused mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, computer science, engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting healthcare, life sciences, medical device, or other regulated software environments.
  • Experience testing cloud-based SaaS platforms, APIs, workflow applications, or data-driven systems.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Postman, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar testing and tracking platforms.
  • Experience working with product teams that use AI-assisted development, no-code tools, or low-code platforms.
  • Prior experience supporting XVIVO-related software, medical device-adjacent software work, or contracted development/testing activities.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: $65,000 - $80,000
  • Other Compensation: XVIVO Short Term Incentive Program
  • Flexible Time Off
  • Sick Time
  • 401K match
  • Company Benefits include paid Medical, Dental, Vision, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, and Life insurance
  • Paid Maternity, Paternity, and Adoption Leave

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
