Your New Role

  • Work onsite in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as a Design Build Sales Engineer focused on commercial and industrial HVAC and mechanical solutions
  • Generate opportunities and estimate, propose, and sell design build projects, replacement solutions, and other mid to large projects
  • Assess client needs and engineer customized HVAC and mechanical repair and replacement solutions
  • Prepare proposals, present solutions, discuss project terms, and close contracts
  • Build long term client relationships while following up on leads and maintaining clear communication throughout the sales process
  • Collaborate with sales, estimating, operations, and other Tudi business units to develop solutions and review proposal specifications
  • Review contracts and provide project management guidance to support a smooth transition from sales to operations
  • Maintain sales and prospect activity in the CRM and work toward established sales quotas and annual goals

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience required; 10 or more years preferred
  • Mechanical Engineering degree preferred
  • Direct HVAC sales experience, related industry sales experience, or substantial field service technician experience
  • Prior HVAC project sales experience may substitute for a bachelors degree
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial HVAC systems, mechanical solutions, and repair and replacement projects
  • Strong estimating, proposal development, closing, networking, and client relationship skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with sales, estimating, operations, and project teams
  • Ability to identify client needs, address project challenges, and develop persuasive technical solutions
