We invite you to join us in this amazing work to develop your skills, to realize your leadership potential and discover a career that is so much more than a job.  Position: Fit & Well Senior Group Exercise Instructor Salary: $40.00 - $50.00 hourly (Commensurate with experience and certs) About the JobThe Y is hiring dynamic instructors for various specialties of Senior Wellness Group Exercise classes.  These include Yoga, Zumba, Chair Exercises, Boot Camp/HIIT, Strength Training, Tai Chi, Step Aerobics, and more for seniors age 65 and up. What You’ll Do: 

Deliver energetic, engaging, and safe cycling classes for senior fitness levels Foster a positive atmosphere with a genuine commitment to helping members feel welcome, supported, and motivated Offer modifications and coaching to support individual needs Build strong relationships before, during, and after class Promote other Y wellness programs and community events

  Qualifications and Skills:

Nationally recognized group exercise certification and/or other specialty certifications like Yoga Alliance, CrossFit, Zumba, Pilates/Pilates Reformer, Martial Arts,Spin/Indoor Cycle,Les Mills, Barre. Able to conduct safe, effective and motivating Senior group exercise class. Must display an outgoing personality, enabling him/her to relate well to participants. Demonstrated interest in working with senior population CPR, AED certification. Nationally recognized group exercise certification and/or other specialty certifications like Yoga Alliance, CrossFit, Zumba, Pilates/Pilates Reformer, Martial Arts,Spin/Indoor Cycle,Les Mills, Barre.

Physical Requirements

Ability to teach multiple classes per week Stand, move, lift up to 25 pounds, and demonstrate exercises safely Stamina to lead high-energy sessions and maintain class engagement
