Basic Function and Scope of Responsibility:
Drives YMCA buses, providing a safe and efficient means of transportation for YMCA members, volunteers, participants, and employees
Supervisory Responsibility:
X No Supervisory responsibility
¨ Provides guidance, leadership, or training to other employees (no direct supervision)
¨ Directly responsible for supervising non-exempt, clerical, or office administration personnel
¨ Directly responsible for supervising exempt, professional, or technical employees
¨ Directly responsible for supervising supervisory/managerial employees

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures that all passengers are seated before moving the vehicle
Ensures the vehicle has an accident reporting kit and First Aid kit with Bloodborne Pathogen equipment
Preinspects vehicle before leaving the YMCA and on returning, using the pre-trip/post trip inspection report
Reports all accidents and vehicle damage to the Executive Director immediately
Properly secures vehicle ensuring:
There is at least a half tank of gas for the next driver
Removes all trash or lost and found articles from the vehicle
Closes all windows and lock all doors
Identifies any replacement items needed for the First Aid kit and report them to the Executive Director
Returns all completed inspection sheets to the Executive Director
Transport vehicles thru inspection as needed.
Make sure tags and registrations are valid by reporting them to theTransportation Director within 30 days prior expiration.

Education, Certification, Skills, and Experience:
High school diploma or GED
Must be 21 years old
Must have a Commerical Drivers License with P Endorsement and S Endorsement
Must provide a copy of driving record and should have no points
Criminal Background Check
Must take random drug screenings
All speeding tickets and parking tickets must be paid by the driver
YMCA Leadership Certification:
Position requires ongoing progress towards Leader Certification
Working Conditions:
Ability to sit for long periods of time
Must have visual acuity to observe all children
