DO YOU LOVE MANUFACTURING, DATA, AND SOLVING COMPLEX PROBLEMS?!

Are you earning a degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related technical field and looking to apply your skills in a REAL manufacturing environment?! Our 120,000 square foot facility houses R&D, Design Engineering, Assembly & Test, and an 80,000 square foot machining operation where we regularly upgrade our technology. Our product lines are low volume, high mix, and very tight tolerances. We manufacture, assemble and test valves and actuators for the Aerospace and Power Generation markets.

We’re one of 55 independently run operating units in the TransDigm Group, one of the world’s leading suppliers of highly engineered components for virtually all aerospace applications, helping us continually invest in new products and technology.

Our Supply Chain and Production Planning Team plays a critical role in keeping our complex manufacturing operations running efficiently. Our planners manage the flow of materials and production through multiple levels of manufacturing, balancing customer demand, material availability, capacity constraints, and changing priorities. As a co-op, you won't just observe the process — you'll take ownership of planning assigned production lines, make real-time decisions, solve complex problems, and collaborate with teams across the organization to keep production moving.

If you enjoy working with data, solving challenging problems, understanding how complex systems work, and seeing the direct impact of your decisions on the manufacturing floor, then we have an assignment for you!

Responsibilities may include:

  • Plan and schedule production activities for assigned manufacturing lines supporting complex, multi-level aerospace products.
  • Manage the scheduling, creation, and release of manufacturing jobs to support customer demand and production requirements.
  • Analyze material requirements, inventory availability, and production schedules to identify and track shortages.
  • Proactively identify supply chain risks, production constraints, and potential delivery disruptions; assist in developing and coordinating mitigation plans.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Operations to resolve material shortages, scheduling conflicts, and production issues.
  • Monitor work-in-process (WIP), job progress, and material availability to ensure production priorities remain aligned with customer delivery requirements.
  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems and Excel to evaluate production requirements, investigate issues, and support planning decisions.
  • Analyze complex bills of material (BOMs), manufacturing routings, and component dependencies to understand production requirements and constraints.
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, material flow, and overall production efficiency.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with resolving day-to-day production planning challenges.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • This position requires a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Completion of one to two years of a BS program at an accredited university in Supply Chain Management, Engineering and Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Operations Management, or a related technical or analytical field.
  • Strong analytical aptitude with an interest in understanding complex manufacturing processes, systems, and data.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate multiple variables, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn, take ownership of responsibilities, and achieve results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, ability to set priorities, manage multiple competing demands, and meet commitments.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, with an interest in data analysis.
  • Desirable prior experience (but not required): manufacturing or supply chain environment; ERP/MRP systems; advanced Excel; or exposure to production planning and inventory management.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
