Floating Part-Time Teacher Schedule: Flexible, part-time hours between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Hours may vary based on school needs.

About the Role

We’re looking for a dependable, adaptable Floating Part-Time Teacher to support classrooms throughout the school. You’ll help maintain a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment while providing coverage where it’s needed most. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with different age groups, collaborating with a team, and adapting to changing daily needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom coverage and support across the school as needed.
  • Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities and routines.
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
  • Build warm, respectful relationships with children and support their social and emotional development.
  • Follow classroom schedules, school policies, and health and safety procedures.
  • Communicate and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families as appropriate.
  • Assist with transitions, meals, rest periods, and other daily routines.

Qualifications

  • Enjoyment of working with young children and supporting their learning and development.
  • Dependability, flexibility, and a collaborative attitude.
  • Strong communication and classroom-support skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different classrooms and age groups.
  • Early childhood education experience or relevant credentials are a plus; required qualifications may vary by location.

Schedule

  • Part-time hours are scheduled flexibly between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Daily hours may vary according to classroom coverage and school needs.
