What we’re looking for…

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Benefits & HR Operations Specialist to join our People team in Hyderabad, India. This role will play a key part in supporting our global employees, with primary responsibility for benefits administration and significant hands-on ownership of global HR operations across the employee lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience administering employee benefits in India, working knowledge of U.S. benefits programs and practices, and substantial prior experience independently administering core employee lifecycle processes in a global organization. You’ll serve as a trusted resource for employees, helping them navigate benefits, leave programs, onboarding, employment changes, offboarding, and other HR processes while partnering closely with our global People team, Payroll, Finance, benefits brokers, carriers, and other external vendors.

Beyond benefits, this is a senior, hands-on HR Operations role. The successful candidate will have material, prior experience across the employee lifecycle disciplines this position will own, enabling them to quickly establish and maintain a solid, scalable global HR foundation.

What you will be doing…

Benefits Administration – India & U.S.

- Support the day-to-day administration of employee benefit programs across India and the United States, ensuring employees receive timely and accurate guidance.

- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions related to benefits, eligibility, enrollment, qualifying life events, leave programs, and other benefit-related matters.

- Manage and support India benefits programs, including group medical and insurance programs, Provident Fund (PF), Employees' State Insurance (ESI), gratuity, statutory leave and other applicable employee benefits.

- Support administration of U.S. health and welfare programs, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, retirement programs, and other company-sponsored benefits.

- Maintain working knowledge of U.S. benefits requirements and programs, including ERISA, COBRA, ACA and FMLA, and partner with U.S.-based HR team members and vendors on administration and compliance.

- Coordinate and support annual Open Enrollment activities across applicable regions, including employee communications, system updates, enrollment activities, and issue resolution.

- Support leave administration across both countries, partnering with employees, HR team members, Payroll, and third-party administrators as appropriate.

- Process and reconcile benefit enrollments, changes, terminations, dependent updates, and qualifying life events.

- Partner with benefits brokers, insurance carriers, third-party administrators, Payroll, and other vendors to resolve employee questions and discrepancies.

- Support benefit renewals, audits, invoice reconciliation, eligibility reviews, reporting, and data validation.

- Assist with the development and delivery of employee benefits communications, educational materials, and resources.

- Maintain awareness of evolving benefits regulations and statutory requirements in both India and the U.S., escalating compliance questions as appropriate.

Global HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle Administration

- Independently lead and administer day-to-day global HR operations throughout the employee lifecycle, including pre-employment activities, onboarding, employee changes, transfers, promotions, leaves, and offboarding.

- Own global onboarding administration, including new-hire documentation, data entry, required approvals, policy acknowledgments, background and pre-employment coordination as applicable, benefits and payroll handoffs, and completion tracking.

- Administer employee changes accurately and on time, including job, compensation, manager, location, status, and organizational changes, coordinating closely with Payroll and other stakeholders.

- Lead termination and offboarding processing, including required documentation, HRIS updates, final payroll and benefits coordination, access and equipment notifications, employee communications, and maintenance of appropriate records in accordance with country-specific requirements.

- Process employment verifications and other employee documentation requests accurately, promptly, and with appropriate authorization and confidentiality.

- Maintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready employee data, personnel records, and documentation within the HRIS and other People systems, applying appropriate retention, privacy, and access practices.

- Provide HR compliance and audit support, including document collection, data validation, recurring reporting, employment records, policy acknowledgments, statutory or regulatory submissions, and responses to internal and external requests.

- Respond to general employee HR inquiries, resolve routine operational matters independently, and appropriately escalate employee relations, policy, legal, or complex compliance matters.

- Maintain and continuously improve global HR policies, employee resources, standard operating procedures, checklists, controls, and process documentation, ensuring consistent execution while accounting for country-specific requirements.

- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline, automate, and strengthen benefits and HR operational processes, controls, service levels, and the employee experience; support broader People team projects as business needs evolve.

Qualities you possess…

- 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in Benefits, Global HR Operations, Human Resources, or a related field, including meaningful hands-on benefits administration and senior-level ownership of employee lifecycle processes.

- Strong knowledge of India employee benefits and statutory programs, including PF, ESI, gratuity, insurance programs, and applicable leave requirements.

- Working knowledge of U.S. employee benefits, including health and welfare programs, retirement benefits, leave administration, and applicable regulations.

- Familiarity with U.S. benefits regulations such as ERISA, COBRA, ACA, HIPAA, and FMLA is strongly preferred.

- Demonstrated experience independently leading and administering global employee lifecycle operations, including onboarding, employee changes, transfers, promotions, leaves, offboarding and termination processing, employment verifications, personnel records, and routine HR compliance support.

- Material prior experience operating within a global or multi-country HR environment, with the ability to apply consistent processes and controls while appropriately addressing local legal, statutory, cultural, and operational requirements.

- Hands-on experience establishing, documenting, and sustaining scalable global HR operational foundations, including standard operating procedures, checklists, service expectations, controls, data-quality practices, and audit support.

- Experience partnering with insurance providers, benefits brokers, third-party administrators, Payroll, Finance, Legal, IT, managers, and other internal and external stakeholders.

- Demonstrated experience using HRIS, benefits administration, payroll, case-management, and document-management systems, with a record of maintaining accurate, complete, and audit-ready employee data.

- Strong attention to detail, operational discipline, and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines, employee requests, transactions, and compliance-sensitive processes simultaneously.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain benefits and HR processes clearly and provide responsive, employee-friendly service across global teams and time zones.

- Strong judgment and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive employee information, combined with a proactive, service-oriented mindset and a focus on process improvement, scalable controls, and employee experience. Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
