Position Summary:
Zeeco is seeking an experienced Mechanical Lead - Construction Services to lead the site execution of large-scale combustion and environmental package equipment at customer sites across India and internationally. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and executing all mechanical construction activities from mobilization through commissioning and project handover.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in the erection and installation of heavy engineered equipment such as flare systems, thermal oxidizers, incinerators, waste heat boilers, fired heaters, process skids, ducting, refractory systems, and structural steel assemblies within refinery, petrochemical, oil & gas, power, or EPC environments.
This is a contractual position, with the possibility of extension based on project requirements and business needs.
Work Location:
Project sites across India and overseas, with flexibility to travel extensively based on project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all mechanical construction activities for Zeeco package equipment, ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality execution in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, and contractual requirements.
- Develop detailed site execution strategies, construction methodologies, work sequencing, and installation plans for complex mechanical equipment.
- Coordinate project mobilization activities, including manpower deployment, equipment planning, logistics, construction resources, and site readiness.
- Ensure effective coordination between engineering, procurement, QA/QC, planning, commissioning, and client representatives throughout project execution.

- Conduct site safety inspections and ensure implementation of corrective actions.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
- Professional certifications in Construction Management, Rigging, Lifting Operations, or Project Management will be an added advantage.
- Safety certifications such as OSHA, NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are preferred.
- Certification in Welding Inspection (CSWIP/CWI), NDT, or QA/QC is desirable.
Experience:
- 10–15 years of experience in mechanical construction and site execution within the Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemical, LNG, Power, Heavy Engineering, or EPC industries.
- Minimum 5 years leading site construction teams for large engineered package equipment.
- Proven experience in installation and commissioning of flare systems, thermal oxidizers, incinerators, fired heaters, waste heat boilers, or similar combustion equipment.
- Experience working at live refinery, petrochemical, or process plant sites.
- Experience handling domestic and international EPC construction projects is preferred.
Technical Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical construction practices for heavy engineered package equipment.
- Thorough understanding of structural derrick erection and demountable flare installation methodologies.
- Sound knowledge of piping systems, structural steel, rotating equipment installation, and refractory systems.
- Strong understanding of ASME, API, ANSI, AWS, ASTM, AISC, ISO, and other applicable international standards.
- Familiarity with welding procedures, NDT techniques, hydrotesting, and mechanical completion requirements.
- Ability to interpret P&IDs, GA drawings, isometrics, fabrication drawings, lifting drawings, and vendor documentation.
- Knowledge of construction planning, productivity measurement, resource planning, and project controls.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project considered advantageous.
