The posting

ZEISS’ history in Greater China dates to 1957. ZEISS is represented across Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Quality & Research, Medical Technology and Consumer Markets. We are looking for a talented professional to join MED Innovation Hub China and help develop robust, reliable solutions for advanced medical technology.

Your Role

You will design and optimize electronic hardware for medical-device components and systems. You will work across firmware, mechanics, optics, software and systems engineering to deliver robust, manufacturable and reliable electronic solutions that meet performance, safety and regulatory requirements.

  • Derive component-level electronic requirements from system requirements and translate them into practical hardware concepts.
  • Design analogue, digital and mixed-signal circuitry, including schematic capture, component selection and PCB-related design outputs.
  • Coordinate prototyping, board bring-up, debugging and design optimization with internal teams and suppliers.
  • Plan and execute component verification and support system-level EMC and electrical-safety testing.
  • Create and maintain design notes, interface documents, drawings, manufacturing data and verification records.
  • Support design transfer, production-test specifications, lifecycle management and sustaining engineering.

Your Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience in electronic circuit design, prototyping, debugging and verification.
  • Understanding of design for manufacture, component selection, obsolescence and product lifecycle considerations.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively across engineering, manufacturing, quality and supplier teams.

It would be desirable if you had

  • Medical-device or other regulated-product development experience.
  • Experience with EMC, electrical safety, FPGA design, cable assemblies or production test fixtures.
  • Experience working with external development or manufacturing partners.

Your Benefits

  • Work in a collaborative, international environment with experts across engineering disciplines.
  • Take on varied technical responsibilities and contribute across the product lifecycle.
  • Access learning and development opportunities supported by experienced colleagues.
  • Use modern engineering tools and equipment to turn ideas into reliable products.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
