We’re solutions-oriented, always improving, and we operate with a healthy thirst for risk. We believe in staying true to our convictions while continuously learning and evolving.

We’re fighting the good fight to change the beverage industry for the better — and we’re just getting started.

Summary

The Manager, Social Media leads social content that turns Zevia from a beverage people drink into a brand people talk about. This role leads our social strategy and a team of creators to build content, conversations, and cultural relevance that help more people discover and connect with the brand.

As a challenger brand, we believe the best ideas don't come from playing it safe or sticking to the status quo. We're looking for someone who understands how culture moves, knows what great social looks like, and can translate insights into work that earns attention and drives results. This person understands what audiences care about, what makes people stop scrolling, and how to create more of what works. They will excel at translating the business needs and brand ethos into a winning social presence across content and our community engagement strategy across social. Importantly, they will be an excellent people leader.

At Zevia, you'll help shape the future of a brand that likes to zig when others zag. You'll have the opportunity to work on celebrity partnerships (including our 2-year partnership with Cardi B), launch innovative products, ride cultural moments, experiment with new platforms and formats, and create social-first ideas that punch above their weight. If you're excited by big swings, making content you’ll actually share with your friends, building a brand people want to be part of, and working collaboratively with a marketing team made up of stars and good humans, we'd love to meet you.

What You’ll Do

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Develop and execute Zevia's social media strategy across key platforms, with a primary focus on TikTok and Instagram, to drive brand awareness, engagement, community growth, and business impact.
  • Lead and develop a team of creators responsible for content creation, publishing, and community management, fostering a culture of creativity, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
  • Define and evolve Zevia's social voice in branded content and engaging across social, audience strategy, and "reason to follow," ensuring content is culturally relevant, platform-native, and authentically reflects the brand.
  • Identify consumer, creator, and cultural trends and translate them into social-first content, campaigns, and engagement opportunities that help Zevia stand out in culture.
  • Lead the development, review, and optimization of social content, providing strategic and creative direction across concepts, copy, design, production, and publishing.
  • Manage relationships with external partners, including creators and production partners, to deliver best-in-class social programs and content.
  • Establish social media best practices and ways of working while partnering cross-functionally with Brand, Creative, Sales, Insights, and eCommerce teams to ensure alignment and maximize impact.
  • Measure, analyze, and report on social performance, translating data and insights into recommendations that improve content effectiveness, community growth, and business results.
  • Evaluate emerging platforms, technologies, and social tools to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Manage the annual social media budget and related investments to ensure resources are aligned with business priorities and performance goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of social media experience, including hands-on content creation and editing for brands; CPG experience preferred.
  • Experience leading people and/or managing creators, agencies, freelancers, and cross-functional partners.
  • Deep understanding of social platforms, culture, and community-building across channels including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Threads, X, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
  • Passionate about social storytelling and energized by the opportunity to help build a growing challenger brand.
  • Strong creative instincts with a willingness to experiment, take smart risks, and develop original content and repeatable formats that drive engagement.
  • Excellent social copywriting skills and a strong understanding of what resonates with modern audiences.
  • Proven ability to identify trends and cultural moments, while maintaining a distinctive brand voice and point of view.
  • Comfortable using analytics, testing, and performance insights to optimize content and inform strategy.
  • Working knowledge of paid media and how organic and paid social work together.
  • Highly collaborative relationship-builder who communicates effectively across all levels of an organization and works successfully with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Naturally curious about the evolving social landscape and constantly exploring new platforms, formats, and storytelling approaches

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
