About Zinnov
Zinnov is a global management consulting firm that helps organizations make decisions that actually get used — and deliver results that matter. For over two decades, we’ve partnered with leading enterprises, high-growth technology companies, and investors to answer some of the toughest questions they face:
- Where should we invest?
- How do we scale globally?
- What capabilities will win in the next decade?
Our work shapes market entry strategies, global operating models, M&A decisions, and long-term growth bets. We’re known for being data-led, execution-focused, and outcome-driven — not opinion-heavy slideware.
At Zinnov, how you work matters as much as what you deliver. We value independent thinking, crisp communication, and early ownership. With 450+ professionals across 10 global offices, we work across industries including Digital Services, ER&D, Enterprise Software, Semiconductors, Healthcare, BFSI, Automotive, Media & Telecom, and Private Equity.
Zinnov isn’t for everyone. It’s for people who want steep learning curves, honest feedback, and the chance to see their work influence real business decisions — not just presentations.
Why Strategy
Zinnov’s Strategy practice is where you help leadership teams define and execute growth agendas using structured, data-backed problem solving — especially in technology services.
In this practice, you’ll get:
- Work on high-impact topics like long-range strategy, positioning, org design, and growth theses.
- Hands-on GTM and revenue acceleration exposure — white space, offering design, account strategy (Zinnov’s KPA framework), channels, and leakage reduction.
- Transformation and performance work including profitability improvement and post-merger integration / 100-day plans.
- Market-facing thought leadership through conferences, leadership roundtables, and co-branded research.
About the Role
As an Engagement Manager you will work closely with the Management Team on practice development and project delivery across the technology domain, TMT, Automotive, Manufacturing, Telecom, Semiconductor and/or other domains. You will work with the project team to provide data-driven and analysis-rich deliverables that derive strategic insights aligned to client requirements. You are also expected to assist with business development activities and provide thought leadership, bringing subject matter knowledge that lends credibility and adds value at all stages and levels.
You would typically work on multiple projects and be responsible for end-to-end project delivery. You will work closely with your project teams to guide them in conducting in-depth secondary and primary research, applying analysis techniques, and deriving meaningful insights for our clients.
You may be required to travel within India or overseas (typically emerging markets) for client meetings and primary research.
What You Will Do
Project Delivery

- Manage projects from first contact to final delivery, ensuring adherence to scope, timelines, budgets, quality standards, and risk management to ensure customer delight.
- Demonstrate in-depth understanding of the practice area and provide thought leadership internally as well as to clients, including overall guidance, mentoring, and supervision to the team.
- Coach the team on conducting primary and/or secondary research and validate findings of team members.
- Review project plans and deliverables, and validate insights and strategic recommendations by the teams. Ensure the teams are:
- Validating the data obtained and analysing it to extract insights and identify patterns (qualitative as well as quantitative).
- Identifying trends, patterns, and insights and applying them to arrive at solutions and recommendations.
- Own the client communication process (as applicable), including understanding requirements, expectation management, and delivering quality outputs.
- Manage research partner relationships (as applicable).
Business Development and Solutions
- Contribute to the business development process and support sales teams in closing deals by participating in client calls and pitching solutions.
- Design solutions based on client requirements; define engagement structure including resource requirements, project travel, effort estimates, and proposal pricing strategies.
- Develop proof of concept of the solution (if required).
Practice and Organizational Development
- Assist in the development and building of the practice team.
- Collaborate with senior management on developing and enhancing knowledge nuggets and thought pieces, methodologies and frameworks, and website content. Build sales collaterals such as whitepapers and capability decks.

- Hands-on, with exceptional execution and delivery capabilities.
- Process orientation and a high level of comfort with the usage and customization of technology tools.
- Ability to work on client engagements at CXO as well as at working levels.
- Self-driven, with a high level of motivation and energy; a strong ‘can do’ attitude; the ability and willingness to work in a small, fast-growing set-up.
- Ability to proactively identify ways to contribute to the firm’s goals and mission.
- International experience will be an added advantage.
- Professional appearance and manner of speaking.
