Write your story with a career at Zip

Join Zip’s Risk and Compliance team and play an important role in helping our Australian business grow sustainably, with strong risk management, governance and resilience at its core.

As Risk and Compliance Manager, you’ll be a trusted Line 2 risk partner with a broad remit spanning enterprise risk and compliance management, governance and reporting, third party risk management and operational resilience.

Reporting to the Director, Risk and Compliance, you’ll combine strategic thinking with a willingness to get close to the detail. You’ll help mature our risk frameworks, strengthen oversight and reporting, and turn complex risk and regulatory requirements into practical guidance that helps the business make well informed decisions.

What you’ll own

  • Support effective governance across key risk and compliance forums, providing clear, timely reporting and insights that enable informed decision making
  • Analyse incidents, issues and complaints to identify trends, material weaknesses and emerging risks, translating your findings into practical recommendations
  • Help evolve Zip’s enterprise risk and compliance policies, frameworks and procedures, while providing Line 2 oversight of their implementation and effectiveness
  • Strengthen the governance of key risk and compliance artefacts, helping ensure frameworks, policies and standards remain current and effective
  • Build, implement and monitor Zip Australia’s Third Party Risk Management program, providing practical guidance to business leaders and first line teams
  • Oversee third party risk assessments and performance, identifying emerging risks and advising on appropriate remediation
  • Develop meaningful measures and reporting that provide visibility of third party risk performance, compliance and effectiveness
  • Monitor evolving regulatory expectations relating to third party risk and help translate change into practical actions for the business
  • Support Zip’s operational resilience capability through critical operations assessments, disruption tolerance considerations, scenario analysis and testing
  • Contribute to business continuity and crisis management frameworks, including oversight, monitoring and continuous improvement
  • Deep dive into incidents and emerging risk events when required, bringing structure, critical thinking and a strong risk lens to complex situations
  • Act as a trusted risk advisor to first line teams, building strong relationships and helping teams understand how good risk management supports sustainable commercial outcomes
  • Identify opportunities to improve the way we manage risk and compliance, including thoughtful use of AI, automation and new tools

What you’ll bring to the team

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
