Position Summary

The Industrial Security Analyst provides comprehensive security support for company facilities, personnel, and government programs operating within both classified and unclassified environments. This position supports the Facility Security Officer (FSO) in administering the company's industrial security program and ensuring compliance with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), applicable Department of Defense and Intelligence Community requirements, customer-specific security requirements, and company policies.

The Industrial Security Analyst works closely with program management, engineering, operations, facilities, and government security representatives to identify security risks, implement appropriate safeguards, maintain personnel security requirements, and ensure classified operations are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of independently managing multiple security disciplines and priorities in a fast-paced defense contracting environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide industrial security support across personnel security, physical security, information security, operations security (OPSEC), insider threat, and classified program activities.
  • Support the FSO in administering the facility's industrial security program and maintaining compliance with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) and applicable customer security requirements.
  • Partner with program management, engineering, facilities, and government security representatives to ensure security requirements and program deliverables are understood and implemented.
  • Administer personnel security activities, including clearance processing, onboarding and debriefing, access determinations, security records, and maintenance of personnel security information within DISS, NBIS, NISS, and other applicable government systems.
  • Review and process personnel security reporting requirements, including foreign travel, foreign contacts, financial considerations, changes in personal status, adverse information, and other reportable activities in accordance with SEAD 3 and applicable government requirements.
  • Conduct security briefings, initial security orientations, annual refresher training, foreign travel briefings, classified access briefings, and termination/debriefing activities.
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and periodically review security policies, procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Emergency Action Plans (EAPs), OPSEC plans, and other security documentation.
  • Support classified information and material protection requirements, including storage, handling, transmission, accountability, reproduction, destruction, and transportation of classified material.
  • Coordinate classified visits, visitor authorization, access verification, escort requirements, and classified/unclassified visitor control processes.
  • Conduct and support security self-inspections, internal audits, physical security assessments, vulnerability assessments, and corrective-action activities.
  • Investigate security incidents, violations, suspicious activity, and potential compromises; document findings and recommend corrective actions or risk-mitigation measures to the FSO and appropriate management.
  • Develop, implement, and administer the organization's OPSEC program, including identification of critical information, vulnerabilities, threats, and appropriate countermeasures.
  • Support the organization's Insider Threat Program, including required reporting, employee awareness, information sharing, and coordination with the Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO).
  • Support physical security programs, including access control, intrusion detection systems, alarm response, CCTV, badging, facility inspections, entry/exit controls, and protection of restricted and classified areas.
  • Assist with periodic alarm and guard response testing, physical security inspections, and validation of security systems and protective measures.
  • Maintain accurate security records, visitor logs, training documentation, clearance records, incident documentation, inspection records, and other required security documentation.
  • Identify security deficiencies and emerging risks that could affect personnel, facilities, classified information, contractual requirements, or business operations and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Interface professionally with employees, leadership, government customers, DCSA representatives, subcontractors, vendors, and other external stakeholders.
  • Provide security support during exercises, inspections, government assessments, customer reviews, and other security-related activities.
  • Respond to security incidents, alarms, and facility issues as required, including occasional after-hours support.
  • Perform additional industrial security duties as necessary to support organizational and mission requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in security management, homeland security, criminal justice, emergency management, intelligence, cybersecurity, or a related discipline; or equivalent relevant industrial security experience.
  • Three to five years of progressively responsible experience supporting industrial security, government security, military security, intelligence, law enforcement, or defense-contractor security operations.
  • Working knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) and federal requirements governing cleared contractors and classified information.
  • Experience supporting multiple security disciplines, including personnel security, physical security, information security, OPSEC, visitor control, and security education.
  • Experience conducting security briefings, investigations, inspections, audits, or compliance reviews.
  • Ability to interpret government security requirements and translate them into practical organizational policies, procedures, and security controls.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, written communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with security personnel, program teams, management, government representatives, and customers.
  • Must possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain the level of U.S. Government security clearance required for assigned duties.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within a cleared defense contractor operating under the National Industrial Security Program (NISP).
  • Experience with DISS, NBIS, NISS, and other government security systems.
  • Knowledge of SEAD 3, ICD 705, DoD security requirements, SAP security requirements, COMSEC, CUI, and applicable Intelligence Community Directives.
  • Experience developing or maintaining OPSEC plans, Program Protection Plans, CONOPs, security SOPs, EAPs, security education programs, and physical-security procedures.
  • Experience supporting classified facilities, closed areas, secure rooms, or other controlled environments.
  • Experience working directly with DCSA, government security representatives, contracting organizations, and government customers.
  • Experience with access-control systems, intrusion detection systems, CCTV, alarm monitoring, physical security assessments, and incident response.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
