Hello there. We’re Zopa.
We started our journey back in 2005, building the first ever peer-to-peer lending company. Fast forward to 2020 and we launched Zopa Bank. A bank that listens to what our customers don’t like about finance and does the opposite. We’re redefining what it feels like to work in finance. What does an Analyst at Zopa do?
How will we help you get started?
- Intro to Zopa & Technical Skills – get to know Zopa, our products and how we use data, while deepening your technical skills (including SQL and Python)
- AI Applications – Learn how analysis using large language models and associated transformer-based architectures is applied to real business problems
- Data Science – Develop your data science skills, including building gradient boosted and sequence-based models, and put them into practice in a competition to build the best model to address a real prediction problem
- Product Economics – understand the economics behind our product design and lending decisions, and learn techniques for forecasting future value
What teams do Graduate Analysts join at Zopa?
- Take real ownership from day one – using data to investigate problems, test ideas and recommend improvements to our products, customer experience and business performance.

What’s the application and interview process like?
- Applications opened on Tuesday, 1st September and will close at 9am UK time Sunday, 25th October.
- Once you apply, you will receive a link to complete our online assessments with Aon, our testing provider. These will take up to ~45 minutes total and you will have 1 week after applying to complete the assessments.
- If you are successful at the assessment stage, you will be invited to complete a recorded video interview via Aon. This video interview process may take up to 45 minutes to complete, and you will have 1 week to complete this after receiving the invitation.
- We will also be inviting applicants who have passed the assessment stage to a virtual webinar on either Friday, 16th October or Friday, 6th November. These are a great chance for you to learn more about life at Zopa, hear from our leaders, and get our top tips for success!
- If you are successful at the recorded video interview stage, we will invite you to one of our in-person case study interview days hosted at our beautiful Canary Wharf office! These are our only available interview dates, so please mark them in your diary:
- Monday, 2nd November
- Wednesday, 4th November
- Wednesday, 11th November
- Friday, 13th November
- Wednesday, 25th November
- Friday, 27th November
- If you are successful at this stage, you will be invited to a second-stage remote case study interview, which will be conducted in late November or December.
- Our remote final-stage interviews will take place throughout December and January, depending on which in-person case study day you participated in, with all offers out by late January.

We value face-to-face collaboration and a good work-life balance. This hybrid role requires you to come to our London office 2-3 days a week.

Our approach to AI in interviews
At Zopa, AI isn't something we're testing out — it's part of how we work every day. As a proud partner of Jobs 2030, we're committed to building AI fluency across our workforce, and we expect Zopians to use AI as part of how they do their jobs.
Because of that, we want to be transparent about how we think about AI use during our hiring process.
Behavioural and competency-based interviews: please don't use AI. These conversations are designed to understand you — your experiences, your judgment, and how you've approached real situations. An AI-generated answer can't tell us that. What it can do is get in the way of us finding out whether we're the right fit for each other.
Technical interviews: it depends on the role. Some technical stages actively welcome AI use, others don't. Your Talent Partner will let you know what's expected at each stage. Where AI is part of the assessment, we'll be interested not just in the outcome, but in how you used it – the tools you chose, your reasoning, and the decisions you made along the way.
