About Us

Zutec is a fast-growing technology company, providing cloud-based software for the construction and property industry. Zutec offers best of breed solutions for Document Management, Quality Management, Handover Management and Asset Management. Today we have digitised over 35 million building documents, 1.5m+ building units, powering £250bn in building assets across the UK and Ireland. Our user-friendly and secure cloud-based software and mobile solutions save asset owners, contractors, housebuilders and developers time and money while supporting compliance throughout the building lifecycle. We are a global company with offices in London & Dublin. It is an exciting time to join Zutec as we are progressively growing our team, providing opportunities for further career development and advancement for high achievers.

The Role

Reporting to the Enterprise Sales Team Manager, you will lead new business sales of Zutec’s Temporary Works Management solution across the UK and Ireland. Temporary works are among the highest-risk activities on any construction or infrastructure project, yet many contractors still manage them through spreadsheets, paper forms and disconnected registers. Our purpose-built platform replaces this with auditable digital workflows that support BS 5975 compliance, so that every decision, approval and action is recorded, evidenced and defensible. Teams gain live visibility of temporary works status across complex programmes, keeping permanent works on track. The solution is already trusted by leading Tier 1 contractors and on major infrastructure programmes such as HS2.

This is a new-logo, hunter role. You will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through to negotiation and close, selling into Tier 1 contractors across the UK and Ireland, where deals are complex, involve multiple stakeholders and typically take 6–12 months to close. Supported by marketing and pre-sales colleagues, you will build and execute strategic account plans, engage senior decision makers such as Engineering, Programme and Framework Directors and Heads of Temporary Works, and win new enterprise customers who become long-term partners for Zutec.

You will join an established enterprise sales team at a significant stage in the growth of our Temporary Works offering. Building on adoption by major contractors and infrastructure programmes, you will develop strategic accounts, contribute market insight and help scale adoption across contractor groups and frameworks.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and exceed an annual new business revenue target, selling Zutec’s Temporary Works Management solution to enterprise accounts across the UK and Ireland.
  • Identify, research and prioritise target accounts among Tier 1 contractors across the UK and Ireland
  • Build and maintain sufficient qualified pipeline to achieve target, taking primary responsibility for outbound prospecting, networking and account development, supported by marketing activity and pre-sales expertise.
  • Manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles of 6–12 months, building relationships with Engineering Directors, Programme Directors, Framework Directors and Heads of Temporary Works, as well as Temporary Works Coordinators, procurement, digital and IT teams.
  • Develop account strategies that connect project-level needs with framework, divisional and group priorities, identifying routes from initial deployment to wider enterprise adoption.
  • Build relationships across technical users, senior sponsors and budget holders, developing internal champions and securing access to the economic buyer.
  • Establish clear buying processes, funding routes and decision criteria, agreeing mutual action plans with customers to progress opportunities through evaluation, procurement and contract signature.
  • Lead in-depth discovery to understand current temporary works processes and quantify their commercial and operational impact. Work with customers to build credible business cases covering administrative effort, reporting, assurance and programme delivery.
  • Deliver tailored presentations and product demonstrations, face-to-face and remotely, that clearly articulate our differentiators.
  • Qualify and commercially structure pilots with agreed scope, success criteria, customer ownership, timescales and a defined decision process for wider deployment, working with pre-sales and implementation colleagues.
  • Prepare and negotiate proposals, tenders and contracts in line with our pricing strategy, navigating procurement, legal and information security processes.
  • Forecast accurately and keep our HubSpot CRM up to date with pipeline, activity and deal progress.
  • Work closely with Customer Success and Implementation to ensure a smooth handover and set new customers up for long-term success.
  • Represent Zutec at industry events and forums, building our profile and network within the temporary works and infrastructure community.
  • Share market and customer insight with Product and Marketing to help shape our proposition and roadmap.

What are we looking for?

  • A proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding new business targets in enterprise B2B software sales, typically gained through 5+ years in quota-carrying closing roles, including significant experience winning complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise opportunities. Construction technology experience is an advantage.
  • Demonstrable success personally sourcing and closing new enterprise customers, with evidence of deal values, sales cycles and performance against target.
  • A true hunter mentality, with demonstrable success winning new logos rather than managing an existing book of business.
  • Experience managing the full sales cycle on complex enterprise deals, with 6–12 month sales cycles and multiple decision makers.
  • Knowledge of the UK and Irish construction market, ideally selling to Tier 1 contractors. Familiarity with temporary works, BS 5975, CDM 2015, or construction health & safety and quality processes is a strong advantage.
  • Experience using a structured sales methodology (e.g. MEDDPICC, Challenger or Value Selling), with disciplined pipeline management and accurate forecasting.
  • The confidence to engage, influence and build credibility with director-level stakeholders such as Engineering, Programme and Framework Directors, as well as site and project teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen: able to build business cases, articulate ROI and negotiate effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred) and sales tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Self-motivated, organised and resilient, able to work autonomously in a hybrid environment while contributing to a collaborative, ambitious team.
  • Resilient and resourceful, with the judgement to prioritise opportunities, challenge assumptions and maintain momentum through complex buying processes.
  • Demonstrate our core values of DATA.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
