About the Role

We are looking for a Tele-Sales Agent to generate and qualify leads, promote products and services, and convert prospects into customers through telephone-based sales activities.

The role involves cold calling, lead generation, customer engagement, sales calls, and maintaining accurate customer records in the company system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contact prospective and existing customers by telephone to promote and sell products and services.
  • Conduct cold calls and follow up on leads generated through various sources.
  • Deliver prepared sales pitches and explain products, services, pricing, and offers to potential customers.
  • Persuade potential customers to purchase products or services.
  • Generate qualified leads and convert prospects through effective sales calls.
  • Obtain customer referrals and potential customer contact details through legitimate lead-generation activities.
  • Conduct client and market surveys and maintain detailed notes on customer interactions and services offered.
  • Collect and accurately record customer information, including names, contact details, addresses, and payment methods.
  • Enter and maintain customer, contact, account, and order information in the company system.
  • Handle customer questions and resolve complaints by investigating issues, developing solutions, and escalating matters where required.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations on products, services, policies, and competitive developments based on customer and market feedback.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through relevant training, workshops, publications, and industry networking.
  • Support the line manager with assigned tasks and other departmental activities when required.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum high school certification.
  • Diploma and relevant work experience are preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good sales and persuasion skills.
  • Positive attitude and strong teamwork ethic.
  • Good understanding of the company's products and services.
  • Strong computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to persuade and influence potential customers effectively.
  • Strong active listening skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and build rapport with customers.
  • Previous telemarketing, telesales, call center, or sales experience is an advantage.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Achieve daily and monthly sales targets set by management.
  • Meet monthly targets related to sales, premium income, and commission income, as applicable.
  • Performance targets are subject to management review at least annually.

Commission & Incentives

  • Commission and incentive structure to be agreed upon.
  • Commission is payable only when the applicable KPIs are achieved.

Working Conditions

  • Working hours: 40 hours per week.
  • Working schedules may include rotating shifts.
  • The role may occasionally require evening and/or weekend work.
