THE ROLE

The Bartender is responsible for providing friendly and professional service to members and guests by preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and snacks. The Bartender will maintain a clean and stocked bar or beverage cart, handle payments, and follow all company and alcohol service policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up and break down the assigned bar or beverage cart.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and snacks.
  • Provide friendly and courteous service to members and guests.
  • Handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment accurately.
  • Operate the point-of-sale system and complete required paperwork.
  • Maintain proper inventory and restock supplies as needed.
  • Keep the bar or beverage cart clean, organized, and properly stocked.
  • Follow all health, sanitation, and alcohol service requirements.
  • Check identification and serve alcohol responsibly in accordance with company policy.
  • Assist the Barback with stocking and other duties as needed.
  • Maintain a positive and professional relationship with members, guests, and coworkers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High School degree/GED or equivalent is required.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in a Food & Beverage environment.
  • Previous bartending experience preferred.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong customer service and people skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of bar operations and beverage service.
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Basic knowledge of cash handling and point-of-sale systems.
  • Ability to maintain accurate cash and sales transactions.
  • Ability to keep work areas clean, organized, and properly stocked.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods.
  • Ability to adapt to changing work conditions and customer needs.
  • Ability to follow company policies, health requirements, and alcohol service guidelines.

Location: On Site; Club 19

  • Mondays, 8:00 am – 7:00 pm.
  • This is an on-call position with no guarantee of regular hours.
  • Hours and shifts will vary based on the needs of the club and business.
  • Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
  • Position may require working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
