Full Stack Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is the first engineering hire at an early-stage legal and finance tech startup, building the core platform that turns high-volume, parallel claims proceedings into a structured, automated workflow. You will own the entire stack, working directly with the founders and clients in a regulated, high-stakes domain where the product directly shapes live legal operations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Develop and operate the full platform, covering frontend, backend, and infrastructure end-to-end.

- Build intuitive control surfaces for case and claims management, deadline tracking, scenario analysis, and daily reporting aimed at legal, CFO, and operations users.

- Design and implement APIs and integrations connecting to clients' case, contract, payment, and CRM systems, as well as law firms, legal software, and settlement agents.

- Create AI-supported data pipelines that transform statements of claim, dunning letters, and official notices into structured cases.

- Embed security and auditability from day one, including tenant separation, least-privilege access, encryption, and complete logging.

- Collaborate closely with founders and clients from requirements gathering through to go-live.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- 3+ years of full-stack development experience with at least one product shipped to production.

- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Node.js in production environments.

- Solid experience with PostgreSQL and cloud infrastructure, including API design and data modelling.

- Hands-on experience integrating AI or LLMs, RAG systems, or document processing pipelines.

- Background building interfaces that handle tens of thousands of records with complex workflows.

- Experience in regulated industries with enterprise clients, including familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or TISAX.

- Experience building security-critical systems with full auditability.

- German language proficiency at C1 level and comfort with direct client engagement.

- Independent, accountable working style with an appetite for complex domains.
