David Kennedy Recruitment is working with a global iGaming technology and online casino platform provider currently looking to hire a Onboarding (Underwriting) Compliance Specialist to join their growing team.

Position: Onboarding (Underwriting) Compliance Specialist

Location: Limassol, Cyprus

Work model: on-site

Employment type: Full-time.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct comprehensive Know Your Customer (KYC) and due diligence checks on new and existing partners
  • Collect, verify, certify and securely maintain KYC documentation in line with regulatory requirements
  • Perform risk assessments and recommend approvals or escalations based on compliance findings
  • Ensure compliance with AML, CTF, FATCA, OFAC and other applicable regulatory frameworks
  • Monitor partner activities for suspicious behaviour and escalate potential compliance risks where necessary
  • Lead the compliance review during partner onboarding, including verification of identity, ownership, business structure and financial standing
  • Ensure onboarding documentation complies with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports and compliance assessments accurately and on time
  • Monitor regulatory developments and support the implementation of compliance process updates
  • Assist in developing, maintaining and improving KYC, underwriting and compliance policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Business, Projects and other internal teams to ensure regulatory compliance across the organisation
  • Support audits and communicate with external auditors, regulators and business partners when required
  • Deliver compliance training and guidance on KYC procedures, regulatory requirements and best practices.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Finance or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Compliance, KYC, Underwriting or a similar regulatory role
  • Experience within the FinTech industry is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of AML, CTF and financial crime compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with FATCA, OFAC, gaming regulations and similar regulatory frameworks
  • Experience conducting KYC, due diligence and risk assessments
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to explain compliance requirements clearly to internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience using compliance, risk management or KYC software and tools
  • High level of integrity, professionalism and ethical standards
  • Experience within the iGaming industry is an advantage.
