Do you want to play a vital role in keeping goods moving across the UK and Europe? Are you a reliable, safety-focused driver who takes pride in delivering excellent service when it matters most? If so, you could be the newest addition to our team as a Class 1 HGV Driver.

As part of our professional driving team, you'll help ensure the safe and efficient movement of goods, supporting customers and communities while contributing to one of the UK's leading transport and logistics operations.

About the role

Working nights, you’ll be driving a modern fleet to transport goods safely and on time to various destinations. This role involves both deliveries and collections, so flexibility and a can-do attitude are key.

You will be responsible for:

  • Delivering chilled, produce, and ambient products to customer premises
  • Completing delivery notes and ensuring signatures on receipt
  • Following all road transport regulations and tachograph requirements
  • Recording activities accurately in line with legislation and company standards
  • Securing loads properly and performing daily vehicle checks
  • Working within European Drivers’ Hours and the Working Time Directive

About you You’ll need a full HGV Class 1 licence, a valid Driver CPC, and a tachograph card to hit the road with us. Good communication skills in English and a professional attitude are essential, along with excellent customer service, because you’re not just delivering goods, you’re representing DFDS. If you’re reliable, safety-conscious, and take pride in doing a great job, you’ll fit right in.
