We’re looking for an ambitious and innovative Data & AI professional to work with us in the intersection of AI and corporate sustainability. You’ll play a key role as an AI ambassador in building data & AI performance across our business units, from sustainability SaaS and data & AI products to the consultancy business.

The role
We’re looking for a talented and forward-thinking Data & AI Engineer to help shape the next generation of AI-driven sustainability solutions at Ecobio.
You’ll work with our data and AI capabilities end-to-end — from reliable data pipelines, integrations, APIs, and data foundations to machine learning, generative AI, and new AI-enabled products and services.
You are a member of our technology team, and you'll work with nature and sustainability experts, and sales to turn environmental and business challenges into scalable, impactful new solutions.
Beyond building technology, you’ll help shape and implement our AI strategy and practices, introduce emerging technologies, mentor colleagues, and act as an in-house ambassador for responsible and effective AI adoption.
In this role you will grow into technical owner of data and AI products.

What you'll do with us
• Build our data foundation — design and maintain data pipelines, integrations, APIs, master data, and data quality across our systems.
• Develop new production-grade data and AI solutions — including machine learning, generative AI and taking solutions from prototypes to reliable, scalable SaaS features or specific products.
• Leverage cloud and emerging technologies — your experience with Microsoft Azure and all related services highly valued. Experience with MLOps, Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD in Azure is considered a strong advantage. Experience from AWS or GCP is also relevant.
• Enable trusted data and AI — ensuring our data, interfaces, and AI solutions are reliable, governed, and ready for use by customers and our own experts.
• Drive automation and innovation — automate data-intensive processes and continuously explore new ways to apply data and AI.
• Collaborate with customers and sustainability colleagues — work with product, development, sustainability, and commercial teams to turn needs into technical solutions. • Grow AI capabilities across Ecobio — share knowledge, mentor colleagues as an AI ambassador, and help advance our responsible and ethical use of AI.
What we hope you bring
- University-level education in data engineering or computer science.
- Understanding about modern AI and agentic products.
- Hands-on several years’ experience with AI/ML or data solutions (idea to production).
- Data engineering experience including ETL, data lakes, master data and data quality.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
- A learning and innovative mindset — you actively follow developments in data technology and AI.
- A product and customer mindset — you enjoy turning technical capabilities into reliable solutions that create value for customers.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with confidence working with technical and sustainability colleagues.
- Fluent professional English.

Compensation
The salary range for this position will be discussed during the initial interview. It depends on your background and experience.
