Role Summary
Fanatics Collectibles is seeking a recruiter in Japan at Fanatics Collectibles (Topps KK) supports the business by delivering high-quality, efficient recruitment across multiple functions in Japan. Reporting to the Director of International Recruiting, the role is responsible for full lifecycle recruitment, partnering closely with Hiring Managers to deliver strong hiring outcomes while contributing to continuous improvement efforts and consistently raising the hiring bar.
Core Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end recruitment across multiple disciplines in Japan, managing roles from intake through offer and close
- Partner closely with Hiring Managers to understand role requirements, team needs, and business context, providing practical guidance throughout the hiring process
- Provide sound counsel to Hiring Managers on hiring progress, candidate assessment, market conditions, and role alignment
- Achieve quantitative recruitment goals, including agreed KPIs such as time to fill, hiring volume, pipeline health, and candidate experience measures
- Ensure timely and accurate entry, analysis, and reporting of recruitment data, providing the Director and leadership with actionable insights on hiring progress, pipeline health, market trends, bottlenecks, and outcomes
- Proactively identify and resolve recruitment bottlenecks, escalating risks and implementing solutions to maintain momentum
- Contribute to continuous improvement of recruitment processes, tools, and workflows to drive efficiency and consistency
- Actively utilize company-approved recruiting tools and technologies, including AI-enabled solutions, to improve recruiter productivity, candidate identification, sourcing effectiveness, and time to fill
- Build and execute proactive direct-sourcing strategies to identify, engage, and convert high-quality passive and active talent through LinkedIn, talent mapping, networking, referrals, databases, and other relevant channels
- Develop talent maps and market intelligence for priority and hard-to-fill roles, using direct sourcing and external market insights to advise Hiring Managers and strengthen long-term pipelines
- Deliver a consistently positive and professional candidate experience across all stages of the recruitment lifecycle
- Partner effectively with Japan, regional, and global Human Resources colleagues and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and smooth hiring delivery
- Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives as required, such as hiring campaigns, process improvements, tooling reviews, or broader Talent Acquisition and People projects
- Maintain strong organization and prioritization in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple roles and stakeholders effectively
Required Skills and Experience
- 5–7 years of full lifecycle recruitment experience, with strong experience recruiting in Japan
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Japan talent market and ability to recruit effectively in a Japanese business environment while operating within global recruitment processes and standards
- Prior corporate / in-house recruitment experience within a multinational corporation (MNC) is essential
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple requisitions and stakeholders while meeting agreed KPIs and service levels
- Professional fluency in both Japanese and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at varying levels of the organization
- Proven experience consulting with Hiring Managers and supporting hiring decisions in a dynamic environment
- Strong capability in recruitment data, analytics, and reporting, with experience translating hiring metrics and market insights into clear updates and recommendations for leadership
- High tolerance for ambiguity and the ability to adapt to changing priorities, processes, and technology
- Experience using modern Applicant Tracking Systems, sourcing platforms, AI-enabled recruiting tools, and HR technologies; demonstrated comfort adopting new tools and technologies
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office; database and reporting experience is a plus
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and prioritization skills
