The posting

The Staff Accountant must have working knowledge and experience in the areas of general accounting, Accounts payable, Accounts receivable reconciliations, accrual basis of accounting, month-end accounting close cycle, preparation of consolidated financial statements, and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and support schedules. He/she must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple interruptions. He/she must possess a high-level of personal accountability and integrity.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for the month-end close cycle
  2. Post all payroll journal entries from the payroll file
  3. Perform all work pertaining to company credit card(s)
  4. Prepare and post journal entries to allocate expenses for vendors paid by Trustwell Living communities.
  5. Wage allocations
  6. Accounts payable invoices
  7. Bank fee allocation
  8. Others
  9. Perform all work pertaining to cash receipts, AP, AR, PR for the facilities we operate, which includes:
  10. Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  11. Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data
  12. Review bills, invoices and bank deposits
  13. Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  14. Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues
  15. Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders
  16. Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status
  17. Monitor payroll expense claims, including salary advances and overtime payments
  18. Reconcile account transactions with the general ledger
  19. Perform recordkeeping and prepare financial reports
  20. Keep informed of regulatory requirements and best practices in accounting
  21. Maintain reconciliations and track inter-company receivables for expenses paid the company.
  22. Other receivables
  23. Management fees (and NOI fees) receivable
  24. Other Intercompany accounts receivable, as needed
  25. Maintains balance sheet reconciliations for entities
  26. Help develop, maintain, and train staff on accounting policies and procedures, including internal controls.
  27. Other tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • BS degree in Accounting
  • Proven working experience as Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable or General Ledger Accountant.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
  • Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Advanced English Skills. Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills. Typing.
  • Ability to function as a team member. Good interpersonal skills with all levels of staff.
