Your Role:

As an Account Supervisor at McCann New York, you will elevate your skills in Business Leadership as a true partner to our Client, applying business knowledge and audience insights to help the team develop culture-defining creative work that impacts business. You will support a brand that is likely a leader in their category and be responsible for the day-to-day relationship, supporting creative solutions that exceed the Client’s marketing and advertising needs. You will likely manage a small team, coaching them and developing their skills to deliver for McCann and for the Client. You’ll also lead projects cross-functionally, crafting and producing work that’s fully integrated across experiential, social, digital, and traditional media channels. You should be inquisitive about and excited by the links between brand behavior, culture, business results, and emerging communications and technology trends and able to apply your insights to the work.

What You Do:

  • Provide strategic recommendations, use your strong creative judgement to impact the work, ensuring we’re bringing great work to life that will impact the Client’s business.
  • Lead our Clients. As a day-to-day contact for junior to mid-level Clients, you’ll develop strong relationships with a focus identifying new opportunities and supporting the work.
  • Develop relationships across the Client organization with various disciplines, business areas and regions.
  • Be a resource on the business that actively supports the team and ensures the day-to-day business runs smoothly.
  • Manage, direct and set the course for projects across departments, direct and implement changes and address challenges as they arise.
  • Execute integrated campaigns, applying your knowledge of production and process to keep projects running smoothly. Leverage that knowledge to lead our partnership with Clients throughout.
  • Collaborate with external agency IAT partners/vendors and manage those relationships.
  • Train, mentor and coach junior team members, serving as an advocate for them and developing their skills and furthering their contributions to the team.
  • Partner with strategy to write decks and be able to flex your own strategic muscles to guide the brand, thinking about the projects that are active today and setting your sights on future opportunities.

  • You’ve internalized Agency process, have good intuition and consistently set/reset Client expectations.
  • You’re a step ahead of your manager, anticipating their needs and driving next steps proactively. And you know when to escalate issues and proactively seek guidance.
  • Clients and members of cross-functional departments look to you for knowledge about the business, projects and next steps.
  • You understand just as much about the business as your Client counterparts and regularly bring them insights or perspective they didn’t anticipate.
  • Your contributions to internal and Client meetings are strategic, collaborative and valued; they make an impact on the work.
  • You can write presentations with a strong narrative, review your team’s work and provide direction and coaching.
  • You think before you react. You internalize Client feedback and can translate it into direction that’s consistent with the strategy and keeps the team motivated.
  • You listen to understand.

What You Bring:

  • Passion for the industry, category and creative work.
  • Experience in production across a variety of media channels.
  • Strong client relationship skills and a collaborative spirit.
  • Communications excellence, both verbal and written; you’re also a good listener.
  • Ability to be resourceful, proactive and willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
  • Critical thinking and the ability to onboard and comprehend information in context and appropriately apply it to move things forward.
  • Strategic acumen, critical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area or equivalent. • 5+ years of agency experience in advertising or related disciplines.

Location:

McCann New York team members must reside in or be willing to relocate to the New York Tristate area unless otherwise agreed upon by their manager and McCann New York’s Human Resources team. McCann New York is a hybrid workplace with three days in-office per week.

$90k-$120k

Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager.
