Financial Analyst, Data Center Infrastructure Design

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function.
• Experience executing full-cycle FP&A functions including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and modeling within a multinational company setting.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in data center infrastructure design finance modeling within a fast-paced technology company.
• Experience with building data infrastructure (e.g., designing architecture, building data pipelines, implementing scalable monitoring) and implementing reporting solutions.
• Experience in developing strategies in fast-paced competitive environments, impeccable business judgment for resource allocation decisions to achieve the desired business outcome.
• Ability to work with data to produce analysis, influencing decision making with numerical analysis and generating insights.
• Ability to take ownership, confidence to interact with all levels, set objectives, drive results, and be a team player.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $116000 - $166000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize risks followed by coordinated and economical application of resources to minimize, monitor, and control the probability or impact of unfortunate events or to maximize the realization of opportunities.
• Act as finance partner for data center design engineering organization.
• Architect, defend, and maintain sophisticated financial models. Conduct investment and NPV analyses on next-generation technical infrastructure to enable structured savings.
• Drive large, matrixed programs spanning multiple organizations, ensuring robust financial controls, process optimization, and risk mitigation across the fleet.
• Identify and advocate optimization opportunities that bend the cost curve downward, providing Google with a distinct technical and financial competitive advantage.
