Job Family Definition:
Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software and integration solutions across enterprise platforms. Architects the integration of third-party products into a unified operations console, and determines platform, data, and interface compatibility to influence overall system design in secure, disconnected, and hybrid environments.

Contributions have a visible technical impact on a product or major subcomponent. Applies in-depth professional knowledge and innovative ideas to solve complex, cross-platform integration problems. Recognized authority in SecOps and observability architectures who provides technical leadership, drives technical direction grounded in research and industry best practice, and contributes to mentorship and knowledge sharing across the organization.
Role Overview & Mission :
The Disconnected Hybrid Operations Console (DHOC) is HPE's unified operations console for monitoring Security Operations (SecOps) and Observability across disconnected, air-gapped, and hybrid environments. As Principal Technologist, you are the senior technical owner of the architecture that integrates a portfolio of third-party products into a single operational pane of glass.
We are hiring a Principal-level technologist who is equally capable at the keyboard and console and at the whiteboard. Someone who can hands-on integrate and troubleshoot the platforms, and who can also set technical direction, define the integration roadmap, and ensure our design decisions are anchored in research and industry-standard best practices.
Primary platform emphasis is on ServiceNow, Tenable Security Center, and OpsRamp, with working familiarity of Elastic, Proven Optics, and Cohesity considered a strong plus.

Responsibilities:
- Develops organization-wide architectures and methodologies for software systems design and development across multiple platforms and organizations within the Global Business Unit.
- Design, build, configure, and troubleshoot integrations between the operations console and third-party platforms using APIs, connectors, event/data pipelines, and message buses.
- Identifies and evaluates new technologies, innovations, and outsourced development partner relationships for alignment with technology roadmap and business value; creates plans for integration and update into architecture.
- Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk.
- Leverages recognized domain expertise, business acumen, and experience to influence decisions of executive business leadership, outsourced development partners, and industry standards groups.
- Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members to set an example of software systems design and development innovation and excellence.
- Integrate ITSM, CMDB, and Security Operations workflows so that events, vulnerabilities, incidents, and assets are correlated within the console.
- Integrate infrastructure and application monitoring, event management, and AIOps signals for end-to-end health and performance visibility.
Knowledge and Skills:
- ServiceNow for ITSM, CMDB, and Security Operations workflows; integration via REST/APIs, integration hub, and event ingestion.
- Tenable Security Center for vulnerability management data, scan/asset integration, and feeding findings into console workflows and dashboards.
- OpsRamp for Hybrid infrastructure monitoring, event management, and AIOps for observability across the estate.
- Elastic for search, logging, and observability data store and visualization.
- Proven Optics forTechnology Business Management / FinOps cost and financial data integration.
- Cohesity forData protection, backup, and cyber-resilience integration.
- Experience designing and developing software systems design tools and languages.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Experience in overall architecture of software systems for products and solutions.
- Designing and integrating software systems running on multiple platform types into overall architecture.
- Evaluating and selecting forms and processes for software systems testing and methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.
- History of innovation with multiple patents or deployed solutions in the field of software design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
- Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at business unit and executive levels.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Typically 10+ years experience.
