As an Application Architect specializing in Microsoft Business Applications, you will lead design and architecture sessions with clients, guiding them through the system architecture and customizations to align with their organizational processes. You will provide expert advice on best practices for CRM and AX development or integration processes.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Lead Design Sessions: Lead design and architecture sessions with clients to guide them through system architecture and customizations, ensuring alignment with their organizational processes.

• Provide Expert Advice: Offer expert advice on best practices for CRM and AX development or integration processes, leveraging knowledge of Sales, Service, Field Services, and Project Service Automation Apps.

• Install and Configure Systems: Install and configure CRM/AX and related components, utilizing expertise in Dynamics CRM Plug-in development, CRM form programming, and other relevant technologies.

• Maintain Technical Resources: Maintain a list of trusted resources for technical issues, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in Microsoft Business Applications.

• Showcase Technical Expertise: Demonstrate expertise in a range of technologies, including C#, .NET, JavaScript, SSRS, SSIS, XRM tools, and more, to deliver high-quality solutions.

Technical Solution Design & Build • Lead the technical design for D365 F&O, aligning with Microsoft best practices and solution architecture standards. • Develop, review, and validate technical specifications, including integrations and customisations (WRICEF objects). • Configure and customise D365 F&O using X++, extensions, data entities, and Azure‑based components. Integrations • Design and implement integrations using: – D365 Data Management Framework (DMF) – OData, custom services, and Azure middleware components – File‑based or API‑based interfaces • Produce integration mapping, transformation rules, and technical documentation. • Conduct unit testing and support integration testing cycles. Custom Development • Lead the development of reports, document templates, and custom interfaces. • Develop and maintain complex WRICEF objects including forms, classes, batch jobs, data entities, workflows, and SSRS reports. • Provide technical expertise for Power BI dashboards and data extraction from D365 F&O. Environment & Release Management • Manage D365 environments via Microsoft Lifecycle Services (LCS), including code deployment, refresh coordination, and release activities. • Coordinate with Microsoft on environment provisioning, updates, and technical issues. • Oversee technical readiness for SIT, UAT, cutover, and go‑live.

Required Skills & Experience • 10+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX / D365 F&O technical delivery. • Strong expertise in X++, extensions, Azure DevOps pipelines, data entities, and D365 customisation frameworks. • Hands‑on experience designing and building integrations using DMF, OData, custom services, and Azure components. • Strong understanding of D365 Finance & SCM modules, data structures, and business processes. • Experience delivering multi‑phase or multi‑site D365 F&O implementations. • Proven experience with data migration strategy and execution. • Experience with Power BI integration, report development, and data extraction from D365. • Strong working knowledge of LCS, environment management, and release processes. • Excellent documentation skills and ability to produce high‑quality technical design artefacts. • Ability to work under time‑boxed and iterative testing cycles. • Strong consulting, communication, and stakeholder‑facing skills.

Desirable Skills • Experience with warehouse mobile app configuration and device compatibility considerations. • Exposure to Dynamics 365 integrations with third‑party automation, financial systems, or industrial systems (e.g., SCADA, weighbridge, banking interfaces). • Knowledge of Azure Data Lake, Synapse, or other downstream data platforms. • Familiarity with enterprise‑level cutover planning and execution. • Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365 F&O or Power Platform.

• Power BI Expertise: Experience with Power BI, including data visualization and business intelligence capabilities, to deliver insights and analytics solutions.

• Azure Proficiency: Experience with Azure, including cloud-based infrastructure, security, and scalability, to support Microsoft Business Applications.

• Machine Learning Knowledge: Experience with Machine Learning, including predictive analytics and artificial intelligence capabilities, to enhance Microsoft Business Applications solutions.
