The Role
Your Role
The team will be responsible for the detection, initial analysis, mitigation, and resolution of operational incidents, acting as the first line of response for events originating from monitoring platforms, Command Center, Service Desk, and other observability systems.
The primary objective is to ensure a rapid response to incidents, minimize service downtime, and reduce the volume of escalations to the Windows Administration, DBA, Middleware, Networks, and Applications teams.
The service should prioritize the execution of standardized procedures (Runbooks), fast service recovery, automation of recurring tasks, and continuous improvement of operational processes.
What You Will Do
- Proactive Monitoring & Alert Handling: Monitor infrastructure and applications continuously while managing incoming alerts.
- Incident Management & Service Recovery: Perform incident response and initial service recovery to minimize downtime.
- Procedural & Script Execution: Carry out documented technical procedures (runbooks) and pre-approved scripts.
- Structured Escalation: Route complex issues through structured escalation paths to specialized teams.
- Documentation Maintenance: Maintain and continuously update technical documentation and operational runbooks.
- Operational Reporting: Produce regular operational reports and track performance metrics.
- Automation & Process Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and task automation.
- Multi-Environment Coverage: Support Windows, SQL Server, basic Linux/UNIX, physical/virtual infrastructures, and all stage environments (Production, Pre-Production, Test, Dev).
Who You Are
Required skills and experience
•Deep expertise within specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) •Enterprise IT application experience •Hands-on experience in at least one of the following: software development, DevOps engineering, systems administration, or systems architecture in public cloud AWS domain •In-depth knowledge of Windows and Linux Operating System
Preferred skills and experience
•Familiar with a variety of IT concepts, practices, and procedures •Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models •Logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems •Analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
