Laboratory Technician

We are looking for a hands-on laboratory technician to join the lab systems mechanical team. He/she will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upkeeping of all laboratory equipment.

Main duties include:

Mainly, the laboratory technician will be responsible for the repair of climatic chambers, vibration shakers, thermal shock chambers and other laboratory testing equipment. He/she needs to plan and carry out scheduled preventive maintenance and keeping records for auditing purposes. He/she needs to co-ordinate with sub-contractors when necessary.

Job requirements

  • Electrical License A & B is a must.
  • Proven hands-on experience in electrical, mechanical and complex refrigeration systems.
  • Strong practical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic systems will be considered an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
