Overview:
This position serves as a supporting role to facilitate clinical testing and research on biospecimens and their related documentation. Supports the activities of the BPC by ensuring appropriate handling of related and protocol-specific paperwork, which frequently contain personally identifiable information. This includes screening and redaction of all incoming documentation, determining proper handling and dissemination of paperwork based on protocol requirements, compliance with HIPAA and NCH HIM policy, tracking of specimen-specific paperwork. Uses knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA requirements to evaluate and appropriately redact all PII that is not required for testing, etc. by using working knowledge of protocol/testing requirements and established decision tree/SOP(s).
Job Description Summary:
Manages elements of a clinical study in order to meet all protocol obligations while following ICH/GCP guidelines; and departmental/institutional standard operating procedures. These elements include but are not limited to; start-up activities, launch activities, day to day management of a study and study closure activities.
