Overview:
Schedule: Evenings (2p-10:30p), M-F, 40 hrs/week with on-call, weekend, and holiday call responsibilities.

- Previous IV experience helpful
- Sets up offsite anesthesia cases by transporting gas machines and Pyxis back stands
- Team-structured work environment with high amounts of collaboration required
- Responds effectively and efficiently to life-threatening situations
Job Description Summary:
Performs a variety of technical and supportive tasks to assist daily clinical operations. Performs routine and delegated duties according to departmental policies.

Essential Functions:
- Prepares operating rooms for surgery by assisting with equipment and supply needs, setup, and routine maintenance.
- Assists OR team with room turnover, patient beds, and transportation of case carts.
- Maintains inventory of relevant surgical supplies and equipment.
- Transports patients, labs, gross specimens, and blood, as necessary.
Education Requirement:
High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
Certifications:
BLS Certification, preferred.
Skills:
- Basic understanding of mechanical equipment.
- Self-starter who requires little or no supervision.
- Ability to respond appropriately to life threatening situations.
- Effective multitasking, interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a stressful environment.
- Working knowledge of supply chain or materials management.
- Working knowledge of surgical and anesthesia procedures.
Experience:
Previous health care experience, preferred.

FREQUENTLY: Bend/twist, Fume /Gases /Vapors, Machinery
CONTINUOUSLY: Audible speech, Computer skills, Hand use: grasping, gripping, turning, Hearing acuity, Peripheral vision, Repetitive hand/arm use, Seeing – Far/near, Standing, Walking
