Job Description Summary:
Aids pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of patient medications, sterile products, TPNs, non-sterile medications, hazardous medications, and ADC medications and supplies, and ensures the delivery of these medications to nursing units. Trains new technicians, transporters, or pharmacy interns.

Education Requirement:
As required by listed licensure and/or certification requirement.
Licensure Requirement:
Board of Pharmacy Technician License (Registered or Certified) Technician Trainee accepted with expectation of incumbent to become registered or certified within 90 days of hire.
Certifications:
Certification by examination as a pharmacy technician (CPhT, ExCPT).
Skills:
Demonstrates competency on pharmacy technologies.
Detail-oriented, patient-centered, and strong moral character.
Experience:
Six months of previous pharmacy experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
OCCASIONALLY: Climb stairs/ladder, Communicable Diseases and/or Pathogens, Driving motor vehicles (work required) *additional testing may be required, Fume /Gases /Vapors, Interpreting Data, Lifting / Carrying: 21-40 lbs
