This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 10 hours per week) Teaching Assistant position supporting ACTG 317 (External Reporting I) and BA 211 (Financial Accounting) for the College of Business at Oregon State University (OSU), based at the OSU-Cascades campus in Bend.
Accounting at OSU-Cascades is a small program where students know their instructors and each other by name. In this position you will work directly with the course instructor and with students at two different points in the accounting curriculum: the introductory financial accounting course that nearly every business major takes, and the first course in the upper-division External Reporting sequence that accounting majors build their degree on. Explaining this material to other students is one of the most effective ways to deepen your own command of it, and the experience is strong preparation for graduate study, the CPA exam, and recruiting conversations with public accounting firms.
