Job Description:

This recruitment will be used to fill 1 part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Tax Research Assistant for the College of Business at Oregon State University (OSU).

Pay rate for this position is $16.55 per hour.

Position Duties:

• Successful candidate is expected to spend up to 5 hours per week on assisting faculty in collecting and analyzing tax and financial data.
• Assist in collecting and organizing financial and tax data from public companies' annual reports.
• Successful candidate is expected to have strong listening skills, familiarity with 10-K reports, and the responsibility to complete research tasks within designated time frames.

• Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
• Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment

Required Qualifications:

Applicants must be students at Oregon State University with a GPA of 3.0 or better.

Preferred Qualifications:

It is preferred that candidates possess a strong skill in Python coding, experience in working with AI, familiarity with financial reports, and attention to detail.

Working Conditions/Schedule:

Candidate is expected to conduct meetings in person but complete tasks remotely. Work schedule is flexible as long as assigned tasks are completed with high quality within designated timeliness. Team meeting spaces will be provided for on-campus research training and periodic meetings.
