Job Description:

School Nurse - Healthroom | Registered Nurse (RN, BSN) | Full Time | Spanaway, WA | 2026–2027 School Year

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN-BSN) to serve as a School Nurse for the 2026-2027 school year in Spanaway, Washington. This is a full-time, in-person serving students across the district. Job Highlights:

• Location: Spanaway, WA
• Position: School Nurse (RN-BSN)
• Schedule: Monday - Friday
• Start Date: ASAP for the entire 26-27 school year

Responsibilities:

• Triage and manage student injuries, illnesses, and chronic conditions
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and IHPs
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation
• Communicate with families regarding student health needs
• Collaborate with school staff, special education teams, and administrators
• Participate in IEP or 504 plan meetings when appropriate
• Support health education and wellness initiatives
• Respond to emergencies and follow school safety protocols
• Monitor immunization compliance and conduct health screenings as needed

Qualifications:

• Valid Washington State RN license (DOH)
• School Nursing ESA or eligibility required (must have BSN to apply for ESA)
• BSN required
• Fingerprinting and background check required prior to start
• Previous experience in school nursing, pediatrics, or public health preferred
