Role: Locum Respiratory Physiologist Banding: Band 6/7 Location: Scunthorpe Start Date: 04/11/2024 Duration: Ongoing Hours: Flexible Rate: £30 - £35 per hour
The Clinical Physiology team at Pulse is seeking a skilled and experienced Respiratory Physiologist to join our team in Scunthorpe. This role involves working autonomously to perform comprehensive lung function tests, including reversibility studies and 6-minute walk tests (6MWT), and reporting on the results.
Duties and Responsibilities:
You will conduct full lung function tests, including reversibility studies and 6-minute walk tests (6MWT). You will report on test results accurately and efficiently. You will perform FeNO measurements. You will work flexibly across different sites: Scunthorpe General Hospital, Cliff Gardens, and Community Diagnostic Centre, Lindum Street. You will support the recruitment process for the Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC).
Qualifications and Experience:
- Essential: Clinical PFT/LFT experience. Relevant qualifications and registration as a Respiratory Physiologist. Band 6 or 7 with reporting experience. Minimum of 3 years of experience within the NHS.
- Desirable: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and manage your own workload. Proven experience as a Respiratory Physiologist.
