This Spokane Valley facility located in the Spokane Valley Business & Industrial Park is the North American manufacturing plant for Ceramic Foam Filters products.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have anywhere from 1 year of experience in repair and maintenance (or tech school/associate degree in related field) to 6 years of experience with 4 years of experience in a maintenance/manufacturing specific field.

Responsible for equipment installation and repairs, preventative maintenance, emergency maintenance, advanced troubleshooting while applying root cause principles and other tasks necessary to address issues which arise and to provide support for plant operations.

Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintenance Level IClean & apply lubricants to equipment components Replenish fluids for equipment Routine maintenance on forklifts and company vehicle.
  • Maintenance Level IIAll Level I functions Inspect equipment & run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues Troubleshoot & repair industrial production equipment along with root cause analysis Perform thorough preventative maintenance on industrial production equipment Provide effective assistance with equipment installations. Welding experience preferred
  • Maintenance Level IIIAll Level I & II Assist Operations Manager in inventory management of critical spare parts. Engage effectively and efficiently with vendors for parts quotes. Assist, support and train other maintenance technicians on complex maintenance issues. Act as a point of contact for maintenance team members to identify constraints and facilitate communication between production and engineering to quickly react and respond to machine issues or other factors impacting production.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Maintenance I - plus 1 year experience in repair and maintenance or tech school/associate degree in related field in lieu of experience.

Maintenance II - plus three (3) years of experience in repair, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Tech and associate degree is a plus. Valid driver’s license/reliable transportation preferred. Welding experience is a plus.

Maintenance III - plus six (6) years of experience in repair and maintenance field or technical/associates degree and four (4) years of experience in a maintenance related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid driver’s license/reliable transportation preferred. Welding experience is a plus.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Core People Skills. Ability to positively interact and work collaboratively with a diverse group of people at all levels of the organization.
  • Machine/Equipment Skills. Ability to read and comprehend facility and equipment drawings as well as the ability to read and comprehend equipment manuals. Knowledge of industrial production equipment. Electrical system knowledge preferred. Knowledge and use of various hand tools, multimeter, and precision tools. Trained and certified in forklift/manlift operations. Knowledge and use of various hand tools, multimeter, and precision tools. Proficient in the use of torches, plasma cutters, and other power and hand tools.
  • Communication Skills. Ability to discuss job related information in one-on-one and small group situations with other employees of the organization. Ability to understand when there is a problem and report it to their supervisor in a timely manner. Ability to respond quickly and competently in emergencies.
  • Customer Service. Computer/Applications Skills. Basic computer skills required to include Microsoft outlook.
  • Core Business Skills. Ability to exercise sound judgement and discretion in handling of proprietary and confidential information. Strong critical thinking skills, judgment and keen attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide figures to include fractions and decimals.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly required to stand; frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands or arms; occasionally required to climb stairs. Team Member is required to lift or carry up to 25 pounds frequently, and 25 to 75 pounds occasionally.

Working Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to warm or hot conditions (non-weather), dust and hazardous materials. The noise level in the work environment can be high. Proper personal protective equipment is required at all times.

Additional Information

The minimum and maximum hourly range for this full-time position is as follows:

Maintenance I - $22.00 - $26.00 + benefits.

Maintenance II - $25.00 - $30.00 + benefits.

Maintenance III - $29.00 - $36.00 + benefits

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including but not limited to job-related skills and qualifications, experience, and relevant education and/or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in this posted role reflect the base salary only and do not include bonus or benefits.
