Position Purpose:

The Regional Pricing Coordinator is responsible for maintaining pricing for our branch locations. The Regional Pricing Coordinator will also use analytics and optimizing pricing strategies to enhance profitability. This role demands leveraging advanced Excel skills to perform comprehensive sales and item analysis, alongside maintaining and updating the pricing database to support critical pricing functions. The successful candidate will possess exceptional communication skills to effectively liaise with all levels of management, ensuring seamless implementation of daily and quarterly pricing adjustments to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and management at all levels to implement timely pricing adjustments, enhancing operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Maintain and diligently update the pricing database, ensuring accuracy in pricing to support decision-making processes while ensuring SOX compliant audit trails
  • Coordinate supplier cost changes into appropriate price changes with field teams
  • Apply analytical skills to identify market opportunities and risks, driving continuous improvement in pricing strategies and financial performance.
  • Serve as a pivotal communication link between field team members and management, providing insights and recommendations based on data-driven analyses.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to conduct comprehensive sales and item analyses, ensuring effective price and margin optimization across the region.
  • Lead pricing reviews and administer strategic price changes, closely aligning with organizational objectives and market trends.
  • Embrace a service-oriented approach, demonstrating flexibility and technical proficiency in tools such as Agility, OutSystems, Power Bi, to adapt to dynamic market conditions effectively.

Direct Manager Direct Reports:

  • Reports to: The Regional Pricing Coordinator reports directly to the Regional Pricing Manager.
  • Direct Reports: This position does not have any direct reports.

Travel Requirements:

The Regional Pricing Coordinator required to travel up to 25% of the time to regional offices and client locations to support pricing strategy implementation. Regional Pricing Coordinators are encouraged to visit branch locations at lead once a quarter.

Physical Requirements:

The role of Regional Pricing Coordinator primarily involves work in a standard office environment. The position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while using a computer, including frequent use of a keyboard, mouse, and related hardware. The individual must have the capacity to communicate clearly in both written and verbal forms and engage in regular meetings with team members and management, which may include video conferencing. Initially, no specific physical demands exceed normal office-based activity levels. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, Pricing, or a closely related field preferred. Equivalent professional experience in Excel and analysis may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including but not limited to VLOOKUPs, complex formulas, shortcut keys, and data entry.
  • Experience with Power Bi (or similar analytics platform), with a preference for those familiar with Agility or similar platforms.
  • Prior experience in a corporate setting, with a focus on wholesale, distribution, or business-to-business (B2B) environments preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in pricing, sales, and item analysis, with a history of contributing to price and margin optimization.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a capability to effectively interact with field team members and management at all levels.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a service-oriented attitude.
  • Proven ability to work independently while being adaptive and flexible in response to dynamic business needs.
  • Must be technically savvy and possess a personable disposition.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Analytical Proficiency: Demonstrated capability in leveraging analytical tools and methodologies to enhance pricing strategies and drive data-driven decision-making processes.
  • Pricing Experience: Previous pricing experience that demonstrates a robust proficiency and commitment to excellence in pricing strategy.
  • Industry Exposure: Experience in a similar capacity within roofing, construction, or similar industries will be highly regarded, contributing to a more nuanced understanding of the market dynamics relevant to SRS.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in utilizing systems beyond Agility for comprehensive data management and strategic pricing automation, ensuring seamless integration and optimization of pricing functionalities.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong foundational understanding of financial principles, ability to read an income statement, and economic trends to inform pricing strategies that align with the organization’s fiscal goals.
  • Project Management Skills: Proven effectiveness in managing cross-functional projects with attention to detail, ensuring timely and successful project delivery in alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Advanced Excel Skills: Expertise in more complex Excel functionalities, such as data modeling, vlookup, and shortcut keys, will be a significant advantage, supporting sophisticated data analysis and reporting requirements.
  • Change Management Experience: Familiarity with facilitating organizational change regarding pricing structures or related initiatives, highlighting the ability to advocate and implement pricing reforms successfully.
  • Innovation and Initiative: A track record of initiating innovative pricing approaches and problem-solving that have resulted in measurable performance improvements at the regional or organizational level.

Minimum Education:

Highschool Diploma/GED or an Associate degree in Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, Pricing, or a related field. However, significant professional experience in Excel and data analysis may be considered as equivalent to formal educational qualifications.

Preferred Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.

Minimum Years Of Work Experience:

For consideration as a Regional Pricing Coordinator, candidates must have at least 2 years of relevant work experience in pricing or a related field. This experience should encompass the use of advanced Excel skills for data analysis, database management, and adaptation to dynamic pricing strategies in a corporate setting.

  • Financial Acumen: In-depth understanding of finance principles, contributing to informed decision-making in sales reporting, financial analysis, and pricing initiatives.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Adept at identifying and resolving issues creatively to meet pricing goals and improve profitability, leveraging analytical insights and technical tools.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Personable and flexible, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, bringing a service-oriented attitude to interactions with colleagues and stakeholders.
