Your Role:

As our Financial Reporting specialist, you're the maestro behind our financial harmony. Your mission is to nail the accuracy, transparency, and compliance of our financial reporting, crafting financial reports and disclosures in compliance with international accounting standards and best practices. We are all about collaboration here, so team up with our internal squads, analyze financial data and freely apply your strong analytical skills. A keen attention to detail, profound understanding of accounting standards, and proficiency in financial modelling are integral to this role.

Your responsibilities:

1) Financial Reporting & Consolidation: ● Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and disclosures in compliance with international accounting standards (IFRS). ● Manage and execute the consolidation process, ensuring accurate aggregation of financial data for various entities and subsidiaries. ● Prepare accurate and timely monthly management reporting packs along with key metrics. ● Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial data and ensure completeness and accuracy. ● Conduct analysis to identify and explain significant variances in Financials.

2) Data Analysis and Automation ● Liaise with the data analytics team to automate financial reporting metrics /dashboards through reporting tools (Tableau / NetSuite analytics / Cursor) ● Ensure the integrity and consistency of financial data used across financial and management reporting. ● Propose and implement process improvements to streamline reporting workflows.

3) Audit Support ● Assist in preparing quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with the applicable accounting standards (IFRS). ● Collaborate with external auditors during the audit process, providing necessary documentation and addressing audit findings. ● Manage audit timelines, deliverables, and key milestones, ensuring timely completion of the audit process. ● Proactively identify, manage, and resolve audit challenges and potential roadblocks to ensure an efficient and successful audit outcome.

4) Financial project & Strategic support ● Support the financial requirements of key strategic projects, including debt financing, due diligence, company valuation, and financial integrity and gap assessments.

5) New Product Setup ● Assess and anticipate potential accounting, compliance, and audit implications arising from new products, identifying key risks and recommending appropriate mitigation measures. ● Define and implement financial flows and reporting logic for new products. ● Perform accounting assessments for new products, ensuring alignment with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.

Your expertise:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • ACCA or equivalent certificate is a benefit.
  • 5-7 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably in the financial industry.
  • Experience working in the financial services and banking sectors is highly desirable.
  • Experience managing end-to-end audit processes.
  • Proven track record in preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly management reporting pack. Also ensuring accurate consolidation of group financial statements.
  • Proficient with advanced excel and other financial reporting tools. Familiarity with AI or automation tools such as Cursor, Power BI is considered an advantage.
  • Experience in supporting accounting assessments of new product implementation
  • Experience in Islamic financing and shariah compliance is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Arabic is an advantage
