Who we are and what is important to us:
Beyond unifies three technology-driven brands, Wonde, Evouchers and Secure Schools.
Each brand shares a vision to reduce the friction of adapting technology, to help customers navigate an often overwhelming area and provide powerful solutions that make their everyday life easier.
The three brands run independently with the autonomy to continue to prosper although as part of the Beyond team, you’ll join a wider, supportive environment where you’ll be able to pull on the expertise and capabilities of the group.
We do not limit ourselves to standing still. We look ahead and strive to disrupt the sector we operate in. We believe technology should not be complicated or overwhelming. It should do what it says - quickly, safely and efficiently.
Who Secure Schools are:
Secure Schools exists to get schools ready for cyberattacks. Our vision is safe and undisrupted education, everywhere.
We're a K-12 exclusive cyber readiness platform, combining deep expertise in both cyber security and education. Schools start with Cyber Score, a free-forever readiness score that shows exactly where they stand. From there, our Cybersecurity Control Audits and Phishing & Awareness products help them benchmark, improve and prepare, with every gain feeding back into the score.
Our focus on education means we understand the constraints schools actually work under: tight budgets, stretched IT teams, and no appetite for vendor spin. Our relationships with leadership teams, IT departments and service providers let us stay ruthlessly independent, so the intelligence we give schools is impartial and worth trusting.
Founded in the UK and now headquartered in Austin, with offices in Cambridge, England and Sydney, Australia - we're mission-led, ambitious and growing.
Job snapshot:
As our first Account Executive in the US, you'll take ownership of building and growing our US sales pipeline, from prospecting and opening new conversations through to negotiation and close. You'll be responsible for winning new K-12 customers, building relationships with senior technology leaders and establishing Secure Schools in the US market.
This is a hands-on, high-autonomy sales role where you'll be expected to create opportunities rather than rely on inbound leads or an SDR. At the same time, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with our Founder and CEO, shape our approach to the US market and build the sales playbook and foundations for the team we will grow behind you.
We're looking for someone who gets excited by the opportunity to build rather than inherit. Someone who wants to take ownership, test what works, learn quickly and leave their fingerprints on how we build our US business.
What you’ll be doing:
- Build pipeline from scratch across a targeted list of K-12 districts, proactively identifying prospects, opening conversations and creating new business opportunities.
- Own the full sales cycle from discovery, demonstration and proposal through to negotiation and close, taking responsibility for delivering against your sales targets.
- Build strong relationships with CTOs, IT Directors, Technology Directors and other senior district technology leaders, understanding their challenges and positioning Secure Schools as the right solution.
- Take ownership of RFP responses end-to-end, including the narrative, pricing, security and data privacy sections and the final submission.
- Structure and close pilot and proof-of-value engagements, with clear and pre-agreed conversion terms.
- Identify and make effective use of purchasing co-ops, state procurement vehicles and other relevant contract routes, getting Secure Schools listed and active where appropriate.
- Build relationships across the wider buying group, knowing when to engage business offices, superintendents and boards alongside technology stakeholders.
- Attend and work national and state conferences, using events to generate pipeline, build relationships and increase awareness of Secure Schools in the US market.
- Turn early customers into strong references and case studies by building excellent relationships and understanding the impact Secure Schools is having.
- Work closely with our Co-Founder and CEO to share market insight, customer feedback and opportunities and help shape our US go-to-market approach.
- Document what works as you learn it, developing a practical sales playbook that can be used to support future hires and scale our US sales operation.
What we’re hoping you’ll bring:
- Proven experience of building pipeline from nothing and consistently generating new business. This is the most important thing we're looking for.
- Experience selling to K-12 districts, ideally with an existing network of CTOs, IT Directors, Technology Directors or other senior technology decision-makers.
- Experience selling SaaS into K-12 districts, or another public-sector or education vertical.
- A strong track record of owning the full sales cycle and delivering against targets, from prospecting through to close.
- The technical credibility to hold your own with senior technology leaders. You don't need to be an engineer, but you should be someone a CTO finishes a conversation with confidence in.
- Experience managing RFPs and formal tender processes, with genuinely strong written communication skills.
- Familiarity with purchasing co-ops, state contract vehicles and public-sector procurement processes would be a strong advantage.
- Experience selling security, compliance or assurance products would be advantageous.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage confidently with a range of stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to develop trust through longer, relationship-driven sales cycles.
- Commercially driven and target-focused, with the resilience and determination to keep pushing opportunities forward and deliver results.
- Highly proactive and self-motivated, comfortable creating your own opportunities rather than relying on an established sales engine.
- Organised and disciplined, able to manage a large territory, multiple opportunities and a significant prospect list effectively.
- Resourceful and adaptable, able to work independently, solve problems and make decisions in a fast-moving environment.
- Comfortable working closely with a founder while also taking ownership of your own market, territory and results.
- Genuine willingness to travel for conferences, customer meetings and other opportunities to build relationships across the US.
- Ambitious and excited by the opportunity to join a mission-led business at an early stage of its growth, where your success will directly contribute to the growth of the company and the team we build around you.
- Motivated by the opportunity to build something from the ground up and play a significant role in shaping our future US sales organisation.
