Registered Nurse or Surgical Technician - Full Time

The Surgical Technician / Registered Nurse position is part of the Surgery Department and is a full-time role working 80 hours per two-week pay period. Flexible daytime hours: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. The position includes on-call responsibilities, which include weekend and holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent experience (for Surgical Technicians) OR
• Active Ohio Registered Nurse license required for RN candidates
• BLS certification required
• Previous operating room experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrates initiative, enthusiasm, and professionalism
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines
• Calm under pressure, independent thinker, and committed to exceptional patient care and customer service

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative patient care within the Surgery Department
• Perform all duties of a surgical scrub technician, including maintaining a sterile field, handling specimens properly, and assisting practitioners during procedures
• Maintain proficiency in central supply and sterilization procedures and techniques
• Assist in managing and maintaining surgical supplies and equipment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless, high-quality patient care
• Support teamwork, safety, and professional standards in the perioperative environment
