Your New Role

• Reliably report to the Port Jefferson Station, NY office every scheduled workday for training, service truck pickup, and daily dispatch
• Run residential electrical service calls throughout Suffolk County and surrounding Long Island communities
• Travel an average of approximately 12 miles from the location to job sites, with occasional travel of up to 68 miles
• Independently troubleshoot, diagnose, and complete normal residential electrical service work without significant technical supervision
• Diagnose residential electrical systems, including electrical panels, meter equipment, wiring, circuit breakers, outlets, switches, lighting, and service equipment
• Perform residential electrical repairs, installations, panel upgrades, service upgrades, replacements, and troubleshooting safely and efficiently
• Inspect and evaluate residential electrical systems for safety concerns, deficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
• Determine safe, practical, and code-compliant solutions to residential electrical problems
• Explain electrical findings and recommended solutions clearly to homeowners
• Present repair, replacement, upgrade, and electrical safety options professionally after receiving training on the HomeOps service process
• Discuss pricing and available solutions with homeowners in a consultative service environment
• Build customer trust through technical competence, clear communication, professionalism, and attention to homeowner needs
• Complete accurate job documentation and use company technology and field service systems effectively
• Maintain an organized service vehicle, tools, materials, and work area
• Follow applicable electrical codes, National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements, and company safety procedures

• Minimum 7 years of hands-on residential electrical experience
• Ability to independently diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and complete residential electrical service calls without significant technical supervision
• Strong experience with residential wiring, panels, breakers, service equipment, grounding and bonding, meter equipment, and service upgrades
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safe, code-compliant electrical practices
• Strong customer communication skills; experience presenting options and pricing is preferred but not required
• Ability to reliably report to the Port Jefferson Station, NY office every scheduled workday for training, truck pickup, and daily dispatch
• Suffolk County residency strongly preferred
• Ability to safely perform electrical work from ladders and at heights
• Valid driver's license
