- Coordinating laboratory testing, following up on results and recommending additional sampling where required.
- Managing material non-conformances, working with suppliers on investigations and recommending appropriate usage decisions.
- Monitoring recurring quality issues and escalating trends to Procurement.
- Supporting foreign ingredient certificates and raising, approving and managing transfer documents through the MPI Trade Certification Platform.
- Reviewing Certificates of Analysis to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Preparing and updating quality documentation as required.
- Supporting quality improvement projects and contributing to quality team objectives.
What you will bring
- 2–3 years' experience working in a laboratory or Quality team, ideally within the infant milk formula, dairy or food manufacturing industry
- A broad understanding of food processing and current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP).
- Knowledge of food science, food microbiology and prerequisite programmes.
- An understanding of material and product release processes.
- Knowledge of MPI transfer documentation processes would be an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to assess quality issues and recommend appropriate actions.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams, suppliers and external laboratories.
- A proactive, can-do attitude, with the flexibility to adapt to changing operational requirements and support the wider team when needed.
