The posting

We are looking for a talented Station Cook to join our team in Delamere. Delamere Station is located in the Victoria River district, 170km southwest of Katherine and 500km south of Darwin.

Established in 1824, Australian Agricultural Company (AACo) is one of Australia’s largest integrated cattle and beef producers and is the country’s oldest continuously operating company. Today, AACo owns and operates a strategic balance of stations, feedlots and farms spanning approximately 6.5 million hectares of land across Queensland and the Northern Territory. Our people manage a large-scale Wagyu herd, producing consistently high-quality branded beef distributed to over 20 countries around the world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely perform your job and take responsibility for your safe work behaviour.
  • Prepare a variety of Lunch and morning tea and ensure it’s placed out for staff to take.
  • Ensure nutritious meals are prepared for station staff and visitors as required.
  • Keep a clean hygienic kitchen and dining room.
  • Prepare grocery lists and maintain adequate supplies.
  • Maintain kitchen utensils and assist with the packing of meat for the kitchen.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in managing a kitchen and providing meals to schedule.
  • An understanding of dietary nutrition and food hygiene.
  • High level of organisational skills to plan meals.
  • Be prepared to live and work in a remote location.
